I just want to get my berries. I have tickets for the 3rd one on both accounts, both servers. I just need time to buy crowns for the 4th ones....

Hmm. Better I buy crowns tonight and be ready to go first thing tomorrow maybe, as I'm certainly not hopeful that MYM won't get shut down within 10 minutes of launch tomorrow. *sigh* Didn't want to mess with it tonight, bad allergies (so wasn't a big deal for me with no game available today for sure....)

I'm ready! 3 characters loaded with the Imperial city quests, ready to turn in, and 14 characters loaded with the scouting missions ready to turn in! All I fear is the wait times to get into the zones.

Honestly if you tell people in zone chat that there are gankers at a spot you'll get people to show up to defend it.

Personally I camp a quest hub and just kill the people who are killing players.

See? This is exactly the sort of attitude people should have. Good on you. Instead of just preying on people doing the quests for event people should be helping them. It's pretty toxic to just go after people like that for no other reason than you can and one person posting earlier was saying they'd do it to make them leave Cyrodil. Basically people either want easy AP or to drive away PVE players from cyrodil. Instead of resorting to toxic methods people should show that there can be a better side to that part of the game and maybe it'll get more focus if you get more involved instead of making it generally unpleasant for others.

    Great post.

I think the best advice is just go tanky. It won't stop you doing quests and people will get bored.

I don't actively seek out over players during the event, but if I'm going to a town to play the map and I see someone, I'll fight them. Sorry, but I don't have time to establish if they're doing quests or if they'll jump on me when I'm on a flag.

But if you're tanky and you're clearly not trying to fight back or get a flag, I'll get bored quite quickly and leave you alone.

Like someone else said as well, if there's people in a town killing you, just put it in zone chat and say "reds at bruma." People will come to fight them.

Although, give the entire event a try. LFG it and join in. Who knows, you may really enjoy it.

Well there are a couple of towns that are just quests and nothing related to pvp. Cheydinhal and Chorrol as I listed are just questing only reason to go to them is for the quests really.

Awesome post man, congratulations. Love to see positive posts on these forums for a change <3

Personally, I think I will do my daily quests in BGs + Imp City rather than Cyro + Imp City. I actually enjoy BGs more than Cyro, in no small part because it's not nearly as laggy.

Normally I would do BGs+IC but i grew tired of non-CP proc set fiesta after a week or so in greymoore. So it's cyro+IC for me

    1. Go to a losing campaign
    2. pick up a scout quest for a nearby keep/resource
    3. Go to a winning campaign
    4. Port to that location
    5. Do the scout quest
    6. Port back to base and turn it in

This is an excellent thread! Exactly the advice I've been giving my friends, as a player who doesn't pvp but enjoys running around Cyrodiil occasionally anyway.

One quick thing that's so blatantly obvious to people who hang out in pvp zones that they forget not everyone knows it:
Players of other alliances cannot see your zone or local chat.

So, I'm afraid that the most important point about Imperial City has been missed.

Every time you are in the Imperial City sewer base camp:

VISIT YOUR BANK AND DEPOSIT YOUR TEL VAR!!

Most PvE players who haven't been to IC before know nothing about tel var or how it works. Tel var stones are a currency. You can purchase things with them, including stuff that can be re-sold on the player market. Every time you kill anything in IC (including the sewers) you earn tel var, and every time you die, you lose half of all the ones you're holding.

The ones in your bank are safe.

If you die to a player, the half you lose go to the player. That's why killing players there is such a popular sport, known as "farming tel var".

If you've never been to IC, you may think, "This doesn't apply to me, I've never been here, so I don't have any!" Ha. Think again. Many PvE players are carrying thousands, or even tens of thousands, of tel var stones, and don't know it! Why? DAILY REWARDS.

To deposit tel var, switch to the deposit tab in your bank, and use the pull-down menu next to the gold to switch currency type. Look for the blue stones. Either deposit all of them, or if you want to take a bit of risk, after you've done enough IC stuff to be comfortable with it, keep 100. (Probably not during events, when there are more tel var farmers running around than usual.) You get a multiplier for tel var you earn from killing monsters based on the amount you're carrying, and 100 is the first threshold: it grants you double.

The amount of tel var you're carrying, and the multiplier you currently have, is always displayed in the lower right corner of your screen in the Imperial City and sewers. When your multiplier changes, there is a "ding!" sound.

BEWARE THE IC BOSSES - there are some bosses to watch out for, if you're alone. You are likely to lose tel var to them, unless you're pretty tough, and even if you are, you're more likely to get killed by players if you're tangling with a boss monster. There are large, slow-moving boss monsters in the districts of IC. No more than one per district is up at a time. And there are "banner bosses" wandering the sewers.

TITLES, COSTUMES, ETC - I like to let people know I'm there for PvE stuff, that I'm not going to attack unless they attack me first. So I often wear a costume like the fishing one, and choose a title that's specifically PvE and non-threatening, like one of the "Skyshard Hunter" titles, or "Master Angler", or "Lady of Misrule"... Using emotes to communicate with other alliances helps to let them know you're peaceful. /wave is the most common (and quick to type). If you need to say more, and can catch a player's name, you can /w and type their name in, and whisper to them.

    Good luck!
