I think they're looking for a separate pve cyrodiil.

I don't imagine anyone being opposed to separate pvp zones in principal.

Personally, I'm fine with how things are in pve and pvp - except the lag & bugs.

edit: I don't quite get this preoccupation with them & us between pve and pvp. I and those I know in-game play many aspects of the game as the mood takes ( or aforementioned lag/bugs permit) me/us.

We're all just 'players' as far as I am concerned with a lot of shared concerns about the state of the game in general.

Loving the false equivalence. However, I agree it would be nice to have more than 1 zone for PvP.

If a PvE version of Cyrodiil exists for PvE activities, I see no harm in PvP versions of other zones existing for PvP activities (apart from the resulting almost entirely 30 empty worlds). Seeing as they are separate entities. That's if ZOS want to expend the time and effort to recreate all PvE zones solely for PvP.

Obviously the thing is that there's useful PvE stuff (skyshards, quests) in Cyrodill and IC as well.

If it wasn' t those requests wouldn' t be there either.
Unsurpisingly no-one is asking for PvE only battlegrounds, for example.

Because "internet tough guy" pvpers enjoy having their PvE victims to beat up, since they're not up to fighting actual pvpers who could fight back. It's why they also love Midyear Mayhem, and camping doorways.... and world pvp, another opportunity to punch distracted pve'ers.

Who is trying to take away your zone? Seriously, how would a copy of cyrodiil hurt you guys. Note I dont see that ever happening.

But for the sake of argument, lets say PvP flagging in the larger world happened (because thats the only way it would feasibly work) and barely anyone flagged?

Cyrodiil is 95% open and barren with no PVP in site. Pretty sure you can accomplish most any PVE activity here with little trouble, if you just try. Avoid running head first into the "red" zerg and you may not even encounter an enemy player. I have to work hard to find non-zerg PVP on the map most days.

I've actually requested a separate server for full-world PvP. Alliance territories would then have more meaning. Make it so that NPCs in enemy alliance zones will attack you. Full world PvP was a special server in Runescape. Its been done before.

In addition, a peaceful server for non PvP Cyrodiil would also fit well. One prime reason: skyshards in enemy territories. Plenty more reasons too: questing, dolmens, etc.

Agreed. If you want to get technical, PvP-ers are the ones that need to learn their place in Tamriel. TES has always been solo-PvE. I might be brazen enough to say that toxic PvP-ers are the ones with the most fragile ego's, [reference most PvP threads vs PvE threads: who calls for all the nerfs? Oh, but PvE-ers are the ones that need to l2p...] I personally love both game plays, but the toxicity in PvP is far more disgusting than that among hardcore PvE. And when you put both of those in a pot and stir....

Hence, why we now have this thread, instead of just voicing our opinion on the thread that sparked it.

And before people start grabbing their pitchforks, I am specifically referencing the rotten apples of both groups. I have had amazing/sour matches in both PvP and PvE, because people can be awesome, or people can be [insert vibrant adjective of choice].

Cyro need some love. From a Performance perspective also as the map could have some changes beside a hammer and a gattling gun.

like upgrades for keeps/guards, some resource farm mechanics for those who want to get some ap but don't rly into pvp. Attacking npcs for the underdog faction. Rndm daedra attacks on keeps. And many more...

It's already a pvp/pve area, so get some pve stuff in it that is pvp relevant.

I know, I know, servers would explode, they can't even handle some deers...

Saved me typing a reply, literally the only reason a pvper would complain about a pve only instance (in addition to not replacing) is the lack of easy kills from non geared/specced/skilled pvpers.
In my mind reducing the amount of players in the pvp instance map would reduce some of the lagginess, so the real pvpers can get on with what they enjoy.

I don't know why PVP players and PVE players always have to be so snarky and hostile to each other.

Why can't ZOS just create a War Mode type toggle that lets you play in a PVP instance of the non-cyrodiil world, and a Peace Mode toggle for Cyrodiil? Why does it have to be one or the other and a big ego contest?

I feel that is why so many cool changes people suggest never actually get implemented. Because they focus too much on the adversarial attitude and ZOS just says "screw it this will create too much hostility."

People should try proposing their ideas in a non-mutually exclusive and less combative way.

While they are at it with the instance changes, why not have a difficulty slider that changes the monster abilities, health, and damage in the world based on your setting, by putting everyone with difficulty set at a certain level in their own "world instance" like War/Peace Mode?
