WINTERHOLD DLC

Markarth/Reach for Q4 2020 is confirmed. Also, maps already have been datamined.

Next year will probably be Cyrodiil. Which I'm fine with. 2 years of Skyrim in a row seemed a bit boring to me. TES5 fans would like it, I guess, but other than that...

I'm sure though that they'll do a Winterhold DLC somewhen later. I guess all parts of Tamriel will be available some day.

As suggested by Turokos_Vampires in an old post from last year and regarding the fact that the next playable zone could contain Winterhold, let's talk about it.

Q4's adventure zone is going to be Markarth. There's already a gate on the west side of Karthwatch that leads to The Reach.

I would've much preferred Winterhold and the College than the Solitude stuff we've gotten and the Reach stuff we're going to get, but I really don't care for Skyrim or Nord culture so I do not want to get more content there for quite some time

While I find the College of Winterhold interesting, it's no problem for me that they chose Markarth this time. Actually I'm curious how it will look like and what they'll make of the Dwemer ruin underneath. Winterhold will definitively follow some day, maybe 2022 or 2023. It's not that we're never going to see it.

Doesn't matter to me. Just as long as I have new places to applaud random players

It will be cyrodiil next year.

They said they wanted to make the Skyrim storyline longer than a year, so I would think the next chapter (if its called like that) might be also in Skyrim.

EDIT: Just to be clear, I'd rather get Cyrodiil. All my chars are imperials 🤣

You know that storyline don't have to stick just to one province? :D They can continue story in Cyrodill, because why not :)

Do you have a source for that? Would be interesting, as I don't think I've heard that before.

While it worked well with the Daedric Triad story, somehow it's hard for me to imagine how they'd do a 2 or 3 year vampire story without being too monotonous. Although I wouldn't mind that theme if they make it interesting.

I kinda have a feeling that when we get a chapter for Whiterun and Dawnstar then the q4 update will be Winterhold. I do think that next year would be perfect for this since it will be the 10 year anniversary of TesV...

No i want cyrodill for the 15th aniversary of oblivion!

They can change not only province, but also theme - we don't know how story will go further, but there can be something more than vampires. They can make some big plot twist and next year make completely new theme nad province but as continuation of this year story.

In Q4 we will have The Reach - so we going south. In 2021 probably will be Cyrodiil and if this will be west Cyrodill - then we go further south. It make sense for longer story.

As a guy that's been double dipped in Nord style, the last two years were great, and Winterhold would be amazing if it included Dawnstar, but...

I think my Redguard friends deserve a turn.

I would rather they spend time and money fixing the current game first. Alot of people are mentioning this is the worst it has been performance and stability wise for years.

I have played this game since 2015 They say this every single year...its not any worse than it ever has been. What HAS changed is the sheer amount of people playing this game. If this was actually true the game would be literally unplayable. Let me guess...you play mainly PvP and you have more and more people crammed into the same small space and expect it to work like a 4-man dungeon.

Yes, the game has performance issues...but that is no reason to stop developing new content. The teams who work on the two things are not the same. What good does a graphic artist working on Cyrodiil lag do exactly?

At some point, but probably not next year, we'll get a chapter with Whiterun and Winterhold as the main cities, and Dawnstar would make a good DLC. The way ZOS has been releasing content, grouping the areas like this would make the most sense.

They will be moving away from Skyrim next year. It's already peppered all over Markarth that "oblivion" nastogalia is coming. with the mention and inclusion of MEhrunes Dagon in the new arena and hints in quests that mention oblivion.
