Why the hell would they need to shutdown the servers to work on a fix .. ?
It does not make any sense ..

Because that's how online games work. Some fixes are client-side, some server-side, some both.
I'm having lots of freezes in dungeons, trials and arenas. Hope that they don't get past June 29's patch. If not, I'm gonna be truly pissed.

Because that's how online games work. Some fixes are client-side, some server-side, some both. Besides, servers and clients generally needs to be the same game version in order to work properly, hence the need to shut the servers down and update them, just as clients do as well.
BTW, I'm also having lots of freezes in dungeons, trials and arenas. Hope that they don't get past June 29's patch. If not, I'm gonna be truly pissed.
Don't be silly. Everyone knows pea-green painted walls do that, not blue.Asking for it is like saying painting the server room blue will decrease the lag.

Should they stop with new content and fix the base game? A resounding yes. Will they.....?

The people working on new content are not the same people that troubleshoot the game.

Granted. But there is a difference between a highschool football team and the Patriots. And yes its all baseless speculation on team compositions and sizes. And there is likely greater pool of support/manpower/money for one of the teams.2 people can make a team afterall
This game is in terms of disaster optimization and nightmare
Fps crashes, ripping animations, server lags
This is no longer normal and I have i9-9900KS, 2080Ti and more
The game is unplayable, they should temporarily disable this game and fix any deficiencies.
Yersterday, just standing in Craglorn, doing nothing... I got repeated loading screens regulary.
