Not sure why it was $100. Did you get some kind of collector's edition or something? I came back after a 6-8 month break and only had to drop like $40.

This is one of the most expensive Games to play been resisting buying the chapter hate the idea of being charged for dlc and sub also time constraints but I gave in
ESO is one of the best MMO just hate the business model that charges for everything...almost as bad EA and sims
Expensive is relative. Buying a new game every six months is also expensive

guess youve never heard of star wars galaxy of heroes...talking about expensive...
You can and I have spent a lot of money on eso - most of it on cosmetics, very little on content comparably BUT dollar per hour is still veeery good value on eso ürobably only beaten by open world rpgs like Skyrim and the such.
So you need to ask yourself what you mean when you say price and if you are comparing on a net value basis.

Comparing ED to ESO is ludicrous. ESO has more content in one DLC than the entire game of ED has.I play mobile games that have more content than ED. Then their update that is like a year late of carriers they turned into a mostly worthless grindfest. ED is a lot a of empty space, a lot of grinding and a lot of looking at the same scenery over and over and over. Eve has a lot of stuff to do to make up for the lack of scenery. ED is just grinding rocks so you can buy bigger ships to grind more rocks. Also you can explore the galaxy but after the first thousand solar systems they pretty much all look the same. Even Planet Coaster by Frontier is severely lacking compared to RCT3.
Expensive relative to what? A single weekly trip to the grocery store costs me around a hundred bucks. I spend twice that a month on cable TV. Ever take the family and/or friends out to dinner and pick up the tab?
Then again, if I had a lousy job, or no job, and was living in my parents basement, $100 would feel like a gut punch.
It's all relative.

ESO base game (that includes Morrowind) = 20 USD
Greymoor chapter : 40 USD
ESO+ 1 month : 15 USD
With that you have access to EVERYTHING in the game.
Grand total is 75 USD, not 100.

.. in which case you should have mentioned that your "bucks" are actually canadian dollars. Because by default, everyone will rightly assume that they are USD.
Also, you mentioning you're a returning player, so the 20 USD of the initial purchase of the base game are out of the calculation.
Finally, there are tons of places where you can get ESO base game or chapters cheaper than on the ESO store.
It looks to me that you want to game to be cheaper. Which is not exactly the same as it being "expensive".
Of course we have no insight into your budget and cannot say if it means a lot to you or not. You're the ultimate judge of what you do with your money. However, I'd suggest to compare the cost/hours ratio of ESO and other leisure activities (such as movies, restaurant, etc.. ) and, depending on how much time you pleasurably spend on ESO, it will probably turn out as very cheap.
