It never made sense to me that in Skyrim so many Nords hold the Greybeards in high regard and also the Thu'um/shouts and yet no one ever took the time to learn them besides Ulfric. The Thu'um seems to be so important to Nords, more NPC's should know it.

Its implied that while some Nords like Balgruuf made pilgrimages to High Hrothgar, Ulfric was supposed to become a Greybeard, i.e. a secluded monk meditating on the Thu'um and worshipping Kyne for the rest of his life up on the mountain like the others. That's not a lifestyle that a lot of people want or are well-suited to, and even Ulfric decides he can't go through with it because that would mean ignoring the Great War.

Also, by the time of Skyrim, all the other groups who knew how to Shout seem to have died out. For example, there's no Imperial College of the Voice in Markarth anymore.

Yeah and that was disappointing to me, would have been nice if we met young Nords training up there but can't change it now, well you can but only by Modding.

Inclusion of the Greybeards in story questing, for however they resolve the Vampire threat, would be a nice touch. Greymoor suggests the possibility of moving towards unifying Skyrim, which would be awesome, but other than a influence, I don't think ESO needs 'The way of the Voice'.

Id much rather see some movement towards the Vigilants of Stendarr. ESO has expanded upon Crimes, with the Necromancer, Vampire, Werewolf. A skill line like the VoS could support law and order.

I personally find it amusing that no one cares about the Sorcs running around with Daedra, surely this should raise some eyebrows of law enforcers?

But back to the original point, Greybeards making an appearance would be nice. Being a skill line, not essential. I wish someone at Zenimax had thought about that with the psijic too, that should not be a casual skill line.

Not neccessarilly. Those daedra are probably seen as something like magical trained animals. Necromancy is defiling the dead, which is taboo in many cultures for all kinds of reasons. Not to mention that the rather unpleasant odor wafting from anyone that works with zombies is probably a tad more pungent that what the demon monkeys produce.

If you're not the Dragonborn, learning to Shout literally takes a lifetime, not a couple days of questing. The Greybeards made that clear. The Vestige may be powerful and special, but we're no Dragonborn.

Fair, but the common folk tend to fear what they don't understand and... Daedra!

That would have been cool! Though I have to wonder if the Greybeards didn't reject more than a few candidates after Ulfric out of fear that they'd just be training more people who really couldn't detach themselves from the world.
