Look at todd howards face...They want to run in the $$$$ race with the rest of the companies...

It's not enough anymore to make a good product and get a great profit...

All these gaming companies now want to pinch every amount of cent out of their playerbase. No matter if the game is fun or not.

As the playerbase continues to pay, they will se is as positive reinforcment.

That saying "It would be irresponsible for me to leave that much money on the table"

It's a stupid idea IMO. Gaming will crash pretty soon. I'll give it 2025 max...

Everybody wants to be the next WoW or GTA....

GTA worked because it built its offline game series and took all of what it was and made it online. You can't BE another GTA just by copying their money making plans...They were there for the poor man who could afford one game GTA III and it had HIGH REPLAY VALUE!!!

The sad thing is now, since they are making billions still there will be no GTA 6 any time soon. As the other saying goes

"If it aint broke don't fix it"

Humans are slow to change when they are benefiting from doing almost nothing.

Just like skyrim....my most hated TES game...

YOU WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER WOW!!!

WOW was the pioneers, it was something fresh to the MMO scene...those days of being wow or replicating their business practices ARE OVER!!!!

Yet ZoS still has a Hadron to try it though...Slowly turning their game into junk.

All of this to please their crybaby give me money share holders who are the epitome of what human greed can ruin.

I dont really understand people that dont like crowncrates and dont want to engage with them but at the same time want to see them gone...You can just ignore them?

What do you think will happen when the income from crowncrates would fall away? Of course it would be compensated by increasing other types of revenues, fees, prices which you can not simply ignore - and everyone looses...

Eh I never liked WoW to be honest and ESO feels nothing like WoW and I'm glad about that. I got bored of WoW pretty quickly. WoW however forces people to subscribe you literally can't play the game without paying money to them for every month you want to be able to continue playing. ESO you can keep playing. Every MMO is going to try to make money in some way I mean aside from actually you know making money they also have to pay employees I'm pretty sure having game servers up isn't free either. But yes chances are they are trying to make money like you know pretty much every business in existence. But when it comes down to it I'm just glad I can continue to play it regardless of if I'm paying them more money.

My personal experience involving crowns store items (exclude the dlcs’s) can be categorized into wait time, playtime and eyecatching (aka cosmetics items) convenience purposes.

The must have for playtime for me is a merchant and banker. It does really help my playtime in ESO to be more efficient and effective since I don’t need to go forward and backwards teleport to any towns for selling my bulked up inventory items.

The rest (which in this case the crown crates or crown gem items), as my personal view are more depends on the "play style" so in other words actually if I feel it is really really worth the price tag then I will consider to buy it with a reasonable and prudent approach (aka meaning i need to think/consider first, always do a check and recheck, search for references/opinions with my guildies, benchmarking, etc - you named it).

The only thing they need to do is rethink the Radiant Apex mount drop rate.

Currently it's so crazy I can see it either encouraging massive spend (not a good thing given the European-wide focus on gambling addiction), or discouraging people to bother buying the crates at all (equally not good from a venue generation standpoint).
