AP Boosting

Hi all, I never really post on the forums but this is a major issue I’ve come across while trying to become emperor in Cyrodiil (Ravenwatch campaign on PS4 NA). As you can see in the screenshots, the #3 player at the time (below the highlighted one) was boosting anywhere from 50-60k AP every five minutes or so. If you notice, the AP of other players in the leaderboard isn’t changing nearly as much during that time. This player began the day with under 2 million AP, and finished it with well over 4 million AP.






Their boosting was observed and recorded, and multiple people have reported this player. However, I don’t expect anything to be done about it from that alone sadly. I’m not going to go into the method that was observed, as I don’t want it to spread any further. This player is currently #1, and now the entire faction doesn’t want to crown them emperor, essentially blocking anyone else from achieving the same. If anyone else even gets close to the top score, this player can just as easily rack up hundreds of thousands of AP very quickly. I know bans usually happen over gold farming, but I think this for sure also falls into that category since items can be bought with the boosted AP and then sold for gold.

This behavior is very disheartening, as it completely cheats the system and belittles the time and effort of honest players going for the top score.

The reference number I submitted for my ticket by the way is 200613-000327.

It's the player base doing it to themselves and not a bug. Should ZOS spend resources putting someone in to police it?
Or maybe honestly recognize that overland PvP is too prone to cheesing, exploiting, cheating, and griefing and just pull the plug on all of them.

This was occuring before 10 pm all the way to 4 am.

At 10:38 it was really odd to see the climb through the leader board as everything was already EP in Ravenwatch. this player had a friend or guildy approach the keep to get a defence tick, and just kept doing it.

if this is not reprimand-able and is acceptable, then most of us in here to get emp will just do the same. because there is no point in attempting to play the game as it is intended, as it is too slow and time consuming to get to first place the expected way. One of guild the members I am guilded with has taken vacation next week in an attempt to get emp, though not a guarantee, he's starting to say whats the point. I have my vacation coming up in two weeks, but if you think i'm going to bother playing this game while these actions are permissible... i'm getting tired of seeing people exploit an intended system in a way that i'm about to just stop playing . i wanted the play station trophy for the completion, as i know i can get all the others, I've done all the quest on pc up to reapers march of the base game. but at this point with the fence function issue, the load screen issues in cyrodil, the werewolf quest no having voice over at a certain point on pc launch, i haven't even started the campaign quest on ps4 because i dont want to see the same bugs exist on ps4 that are there on pc....

I guess i'm getting tired of this product, and the percieved lack of care. I don't know if it is due to a lack of personel to support this product or what...

but if this is an acceptable form of behvaiour to surpass all those on the leader boards within 6 hours of playing, when the campaign is already 4 or 5 days old, that i'll sure go for the 6 hour method above all else.

as the perpetrator said in zone chat last night "what a grind"

Why does no one ever mention that this ultimately comes about because there's a sizable player base that has really no common decency or civility not to cheese, exploit, and cheat?
Sure, ZOS can try to do something about it. But remember that ultimately the players are responsible. They are willfully trying to ruin the game for others to benefit themselves. The root fault is not ZOS. You are just feeling helpless and looking to ZOS to be the police and magically make it go away.

When the cost to police players becomes too high, it's time to just take the opportunity away -- disable open world PvP.
And while ZOS is stuck thinking about whether to do this, players are earning millions of AP and probably translating that into in-game gold. And ultimately maybe even RMT.

@dxtarheel23 of course there are scrub guilds and peeps that do this....and sell empy too, lol

So kill them and ruin their boosting fun 😈 Most of those types are just zerglings that can’t PvP for 💩

Get a small group of seasoned players and watch them fold. The hate whispers and threats that follow after are beautiful.😊

Have a bomber or two in the group, as well, for a few laughs and smiles....for the icing.
