what / where are the rules on AP boosting?

Curious what precidents there are or ZOS comments etc for folks boosting AP. I recall some banning the first MYM event or perhaps it was the noCP test.

Anyway its rife in these events, ruining proper play on the less pop campaigns. And players involved get pretty agitated if you come along and play cyrodiil, you know, as intended.

So before i get on my high horse about it I'm curious where the law sits on this.

I'm talking group A take a keep, move off no repairs, Group B (different alliance) take it back, move off no repairs, Group A come back and take it again. Rinse / repeat for hours on end and millions of AP. In some cases same players are faction hoping to be in both groups

Are we (players/ZOS) OK with this? I know my stance and I'm sure personal opinions will pop up here but I'm after ZOS comment now or previous on how they see it.

Bosting is not allowed and if on xbox watch out u could get a second ban from microsoft, their t&c's say not allowed

Cooperating for combat reasons or the general gameplay is fine. Cooperating in regards to not attacking each other and trading something for gains is considered against ToS since Bleakers happened.

Thank you @Turelus , appriciated. It was something as clear as this I was after, @ZOS_JessicaFolsom 's comment there covers my points exactly. It is a breach of ToS and it has been actioned before.

Ppl still do this? Not seen anything on Xbox na this year. Last year it was that all event. But not seen it yet this event.

Sadly yes they do, and seem quite self justified that its legit / ok hence me pondering any quotes on the stance.

Rotating between two keeps. That's 30k AP on cool down, 12 keeps an hour. You dont think that's worth it?

That's my question @zaria many of us feel its not allowed but I'm after any talk from ZOS on it or action taken. I.e. Should it be reported if people are taking the pee.

On PC/NA all campaigns were pop locked for a brief period of time Friday evening.

lol 2+ years ago on PC EU we would get on a normal day prime time queues of around 150 on main campaigns. There's an event going now and I'm getting Vivec 200 queue prime time...

Previous years there were multimple threads of ppl crying for a login chance to any campaign. Pop locked on friday evening on PC/NA... mkay. PC EU seems to be less struggling for players...

They did temporary bans and perhaps took away AP from some who flipped resources once. They also added cooldown to make it less profitable.

But serious, its one thing they cheating a currency, I'm more bothered that its a great chance to have some decent PvP pop out of vivec and folks just abusing anyone trying to play legit.

IIRC this was mostly a problem on PC EU, mostly down to a number of players/guilds organising to specifically work together to exploit this. I was invited to one of them with the permission to report what I saw going on to ZOS as long as I didn't send individual names.

Never been into that but had two factions trying to take an keep at once while also fighting each other on the wall.
That tend to give loads of AP. Now an organized defender would focus on the strongest of the two forces and obviously anybody trying to siege the keep.

And you are not required to kill enemies but flipping keeps are not ok.

They also adressed boosting by adding the 5min CD, during which you get no AP, when retaking a Resource.

ONly thing they didnt adress is Alliancehopping in the Same Campain, which IMO needs to be prevented.
So no more low pop reloggers, goint to get all keepswith one faction, then relogg onto another Faction (which has low pop) and taking it back.

1Faction / Campain, locked for Campainduration. Reseted with Campain ending.

When I first started Loyality was great, but pve suffered, since you only saw ppl from your alliance in chat

Now with 1T thats out the way, but relogging and hopping is unfortunately still a thing.
Most ppl probably wouldnt even mond if they prevent hopping, those who do will have to stick to a campain or play multiple accounts, therefore split ap which they cannot simply transfer via bank, but would have to buy and sell stuff to have it affect their main account.

Plus i think it might add pop to other campaigns. As the cross faction guys could play Red vivecs but blues with mates on shor etc. Might spread folks out
