Dragon Audio Issues

  • What happens: Dragon sound effects get stuck on repeat during and after fights (they continue even after the dragon is dead).
  • Where it happens: Basically everywhere, I noticed it in SunSpire and Southern Elsweyr.
  • Workaround: Alt+tab from the game and back in or /reloadui.
  • Details: When dragons utilize certain mechanics (mostly breath attacks) the roar and the sound effect of the breath itself get stuck on a loop and continue after the attack is over. Once the dragon uses breath again two sound effects get stuck on a loop. After a couple of them it's getting hard to communicate on discord as the sound gets pretty loud and annoying.

    I have also experienced this bug in Sunspire. My current work around is to toggle sound on and off in settings which also stops the dragon and can be done in combat without loosing too much time sometimes. Would like it fixed though.

    Not to be a Debby downer but I don’t believe this is getting fixed & will be pleasantly surprised if it does.

    The bug has been there since Elsweyr’s PTS. 🤣

    Fair, I had seen it before Greymoor, but I think it got way more frequent after the new release. Like I have it almost every time I'm in Sunspire now and that didn't used to be the case.

    While I've encountered the dragon audio issue after fighting a dragon sometimes in Northern Elsweyr and always in Southern Elsweyr, I yesterday stumbled into something that's probably related.

    I had my character use the play lute emote, and after a few seconds I moved, so the emote stopped. However, the song from the lute continued to play and didn't stop. This is much less annoying than the persistent dragon roars, but still seems to me to be the same problem.

    This is still happening. Just been in a fight with breath on loop. Had to mute game because noise was unbearable.

    Any fix estimate? This is actually unbearable and ruins the fully dialogued game in the dragon guard quest line as happens during this too.

    I’ve been fighting dragons in both Northern and Southern Elsweyr on the weekends to try to get more antiquity leads.

    The roar starts when the dragon does his first strafing run with either fire, lightning, or ice. Then it just keeps going, like said before, even when he is dead.

    It’s not just an occasional thing either, it was every dragon I’ve fought lately.

    I have this and other sound bugs since I bought greymoor on ps4.
    Sometimes in battles the music stops playing or everything is silent for unknown reasons.

    I didn't knew this is an older bug.

    I play on Xbox and PS4. The dragon roar and the lute continuing to play has happened on both consoles. For the dragon roar we go into the champion points screen and it ends the roar. For the lute I had to log out and back in with my character.
