Danouk✭✭✭It happened to me with gold items. I am glad you have same problem not that I am happy about it but this tells me I am doing it right but not getting the results.5

Pyr0xyrecuprotite✭✭✭✭✭@pauls, @Danouk, There are several other threads about this issue on gold and purple lead digs (since launch). Apparently it is something like the actual antiquity location not being lined up with what you see on screen. Make sure to put in a /bug report or call in a ticket to get this issue bumped up in the priority list - not sure if it's even on the ZoS radar yet or not.

1) Green shows on the far away spot. Item completely uncovered still shows as not uncovered
2) grid is tilted 45 degrees after shake (NO TROLLs were nearby).

The work around is to follow the shape of the blue sparkles and not the picture of the chest. Here's a sketch that @R0ckster drew to help me:
Use this as a template to copy the pattern of the sparkles. Don't follow the picture of the chest.
