Anyone coin this term yet?

I thought the psijic line was bad, but this is the grindiest patch to date. Antiquities are the worst grind I have ever seen. It also feels like I am playing a Mini-Game that was developed in the late 90's for a palm pilot or something.

If that wasnt bad enough, vet players, please go regrind the arenas you have already run hundreds of times. I feel like this patch has taken a big step backwards. Carry on.

Every MMO I have played has some type of grind. As for grinding content again for gear welcome to MMOs where the devs may adjust or add gear to older content to get players to run older content.

Which other major MMO buffed gear in 4 1/2+ years old content and expected its players to regrind the weapons they already earned? I could be wrong, but I can’t think of an instance where this happened in a another major MMO.

Is it actually worse than Psijic skill line? I literally took more than a year to finish that one, way after Elsweyr launch lol. I saw some streamers dig stuff up and they seemed frustrated at some of the rng.

And you're right about the state of the game + vMA regrind. Let's do cp170 gear at this point, maybe every couple patches increase ilevel. Or introduce perfected monster masks to work on after their nerfs.

Lol, Antiquities must be grindy because this is not a system to max out in couple weeks but long-term addition for game. It supposed to be somethjing that you do for couple minutes from time to time. For me it''s great because I hate when I explore old zones and I know that I never find anything special. Now it's different - I know that everywhere I can find something new and unique! I don't look into guides with locations - I just want to play game without rush and enjoy suprises from time to time.

Treasure chests was boring and unrewarding - this is much better, even if this is only small, silly minigame. I don't get it - are you play game to enjoy it or just to complete everything in no time? You can always uninstall - that way you can finish it much sooner

Yeah im saying. ESO is the least grindy MMO ive ever played. Yet people here complain the more about grind than any other MMO ive played and im playing 4 MMOs right now. If they have to do anything resembling game play for a reward, they cry about it.

Also seems to be a very OCD heavy game. " I must grind this because its new", " I must grind the new BiS gear", "I must grind out this skill line even though i wont use it. It's there! So i MUST have it!"

It hasnt even been 2 days and people are like " It takes to much time to grind this out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" We know this content is suppose to last months right? Its not a single player game your not suppose to "beat it" in an afternoon.

I agree that it's supposed to be a long term thing, and from your perspective and playstyle, this is not an issue, but a welcome change in routine. But let's suppose someone wants to start hunting mythic items, because they're a hardcore PvP-er or whatever, and need them for a build, they won't want to wait half a year for them, or rely on exploration to get them if and whenever they drop. It's the same thing for the psijic line: if I am a magDD in a score-pushing group, and let's say I need to level a new magcro to bring to the raid, and need to have channeled acceleration, then I'll have to grind the skill pretty fast. For some playstyles some things are important, and the faster you get them, the faster you'll enjoy your playstyle. If said playstyle is casual, then anything goes, what's so hard to understand?

There are only 6 mythic items and they not even very good. You can with no problem just look to make build without them. Before Greymoor and perfected arena weapons, only way to have Malestorm and Dragonstar Arena stuff was to make very hard veteran content. That was real grind. You what I did with this?

I made a build without Maelstorm and DGA weapons. That was so easy because game have so much other gear all around I play Cyrodiil alot and sometimes BGS without meta gear and still have much fun and good enough scores I'm even stamina Breton and still this not a issue.

Just go for gear avaiable for your playstyle - non-meta builds are good too

Absolutely, but that's not the point: if someone's only reason for engaging with the antiquity system is the mythic items, and they never plan to get involved with it again (unless they introduce new mythic items), then grinding for it will be a pain for them, because it is indeed very repetitive, and requires skill points. The fact that you enjoy it because you like the aspect of having a long-term goal that you don't mind reaching bit by bit, is not the case for other people. It's supposed to be a grindy thing, and those who want to complete it fast, are supposed to not like the process, but if you ask me if I'd rather run vMA a bunch of times or level antiquities in a bunch of alts, it's vMA all the way.

I'll do the quest lines at my own pace as none of those mythic items float my boat. But a VMA redo isn't going to happen.

I finished it up a few hours ago. Now to figure out how to farm leads for the Mythics. Not having much luck in public dungeons. Got one purple in about an hour. Lots of bosses and chests. Only thing I got came from the group event.

Each Mythic lead drops from a specific zone + area.

Inklings put up a really handy spreadsheet in Saucy's thread. definitely worth looking through, there's a ton of info.

I've had some leads drop on the first boss in a public dungeon, some that took 10-15 kills to get it, just rng there, I believe
