Since the malacath ring of brutality happened...
Has No-cp pvp become pay to win with this item?
In my honest opinion it did....

Also, every expansion, people need to have the concept of pay to win explained to them.
"Pay to Win" would be if I could by an OP weapon from the crown store. Items earned from taking part in new content does not count.

Yes but you have to invest irl money to get to that content... No?

I don't care what anyone says, it's just another form of P2W.
The game is designed to intentionally annoy a player enough that they would rather not repeat content and just buy it outright to skip it.
Just your normal scammy and shady business tactics folks, nothing else here to see:
Create a problem, sell the solution.

By that logic ANY mmo that offers an expansion is p2w.

You guys MAY be playing the wrong genre.
Imagine how unfulfilling the game would be if EVERY new class, gear item, skill line etc was worse than what the base game offered. All to avoid the (misused) "p2w" label.
That would be a VERY good way to kill off most incentive to buy DLC/expansions.

And if an expansion can't have any useful equipment (to avoid "p2w"), then why would anyone buy it?

There is a difference between playing to get better and a pure cash grab.

If I buy a game I want to be able to get all content. Or is that a bit too much asked these days XD I guess so...

Nah, just play games like Terraria. It's been out for almost ten years, costs maybe ten bucks, and all the content updates have been 100% free.

You buy new content to get new stuff and experience new stuff. If that stuff isn't worth getting and experiencing, why bother?
Also, why does it seem like this needs to be explained EVERY time new content is released?

Then everything is pay to win since you had to buy the game in the first place.
That argument holds no water.

LMAO...ESO is not pay to win. Pay to win games require the items to be sold directly in the market place to offer said advantage or have a very easy way for players to convert real currency to game currency (without any chance of being ripped off) to acquire items quickly and easily.
ESO game design is pay to play.
