Or maybe it's just the lighting? I'm not sure.

Either way some other people have reported similar results to OP's.

I'm going to say that there is a filter over it.

It does not look like the same product, maybe the manufacturer did not have the same plastic coloring consistency on all prints, or they screwed up a batch
It was prolly printed in china

I am sorry about your collector's figure. From the picture the model quality looks alright, but the paintjob is literally consists of one single paint. You'd probably achieve better results with a mix of 2-3 "Citadel Contrast" paint. I suggest to buy a few and paint over the pain.

On the other hand the difference between the finished product and the marketed one is huge enough to warrant a refund, at least in my opinion.

Mine consists of several shades of brown and grey, which for this particular figurine looks better to me than the standard single paint metallic finish so many resin figurines are typically finished in these days.

    Groupfinder:
The worst part is when it finally puts you in a group, your healer turns into a werewolf, your tank has 14k HP and the dps is heavy armor, using a restro staff and a two handed sword on the backbar. Then comes the 15 minute penalty before the cycle starts anew.

    Rulz of Morrowind:
    • The first rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • The second rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • Third rule of Morrowind: Someone yells NDA stuff, uploads images, streams, the game is over.
    • Fourth rule: only invited players can test.
    • Fifth rule: one invite at a time, fellas.
    • Sixth rule: crying or bashing on pts.
    • Seventh rule: NDA will go on as long as they have to.
    • And the eighth and final rule: If this is your first invite at Morrowind, you have to play.

From my perspective, that still isn't too great, though better than what I'm seeing in the OP's picture. The casting still looks gummy and low in detail/too plasticy. I dunno. I'm not thrilled with it given what I've seen on other figures.

    Legends never die
    They're written down in eternity
But you'll never see the price it costs
The scars collected all their lives
When everything's lost, they pick up their hearts and avenge defeat
Before it all starts, they suffer through harm just to touch a dream
    Oh, pick yourself up, 'cause
    Legends never die

Here is a side by side comparison. The colors aren't even remotely close to being the same. One literally looks eggshell white while the advertised one has different shades. I'd be asking for my money back for that.

As i've said in a different topic. I am dissapointed, the plastic feels like old Hero quest or DnD moldable plastics. It's nowhere near the quality of the Molag-baal or Summerset one. As I am also a wargamer i've got plenty of modelpaints to mess around with.

Even so.. ZOS should have done a way better job. Next expansion I'll just buy a recast from aliexpres for a lot less and get prob a better quality plastic.

Mine isn't remotely eggshell white and is an assortment of brown and grey shades including the stonework base which is all one shade in the right-hand picture - I'd say that's due to the lighting.

Maybe it's just the lighting on the advertised one or possibly photoshop'd but it definitely has more shades than the one that you and the OP bought

Oh lighting is defiantly part of it.. we all (hopefully) know advertisements aren't real every company uses Photoshop to improve images. That said... the difference between the 3 pictures is, for me, crystal clear. The Greymoor CE has an solid grey color which is the plastic, there is no paint on that one. The silver(like) trim jeweler and loincloth are separate plastic pieces glued on.

As i said I am disappointed but i do not regret my purchase. I should have known better.

Next step is to see if the plastic is resistant to model paint removal and then to give it a good nuln-oil wash to get more shadow and depth into it.
