Thanks ZO$ for ruining this chapter for me.

This chapter is irreversibly ruined for me. Was really looking forward to it, vampires, werewolvess, skyrim... the hype was huge. Now i don't even feel like playing it anymore. I feel like a total idiot and sucker. I paid for something others got for free.
I am not an overly rich person, so i chose the games i buy carefully. Interesting story, new fun skill line, possibility of good gold from selling loot, motifs and furniture, buying this chapter seemed like a good investment to me. That is till the day of release when you made it worthless by giving it to everyone and making me feel like a biggest sucker on planet for paying for it. Now people who paid nothing experience the story, progress the skill lines, loot and sell stuff they should have no access to making it way less valuable.
I paid for something others got for free on the very same day, i feel cheated and scammed. Even if those people will lose access to it, the damage already was done, they had multiple hours to grab skill lines, gain and sell loot which will make it less valuable and experience the story.
Thanks to damage you caused the game is worth nowhere near what i paid for it anymore. I would estimate its current max value maybe at 15$ max, but would most likely not pick it up even at that price. This expansion is worthless to me now, i do not feel like exploring it anymore, my hype and excitement is gone.
I spent total of 1 hour there before i could not bear the nagging thoughts of being a sucker who paid for it while others have it for free and left. Cant even go for refund.

And people who dont pay wont benefit at all from entering greymoor, bc they will be locked from there as soon as they find the issue causing it.

Also literally everyone can just play greymoor on the PTS for free if you just wanna see the story.

Yeah instead of assuming you pay people to do their job properly you should just expect it to fail. The fact that patch days are excuses used for *** server performance is just sad imo.

Ah boohoo more people log into the server now then before the patch. No ***? Thats what happens when you release new content. Shouldn't zenimax be able to predict this and tweak their systems accordingly or are they willingly letting us suffer their *** perfomance bcaus of the excuse: its patch day so you shouldn't expect to play anyways.

These connectivity issues since greymoor has been released are just the tip of the *** iceberg that ZOS created themselves and make worse with their so called fixes.

I feel your pain but my issue is not with them having problems with it, it's with them having the ability to fix them on pts then releasing something which is clearly not ready. How long has this been on pts server?

a) Have you tried asking for a refund? Not ranting I mean, but submitting a sincere request to support.

b) Try not to associate the intrinsic value of your future purchases, with real money, on theoretical possibilities for earning in game gold. That is like investing real money in Leprechaun's gold. It's a game. They can turn the servers off tomorrow with no compensation whatsoever. It would be nasty, but they are entitled to do it in the TOS.

c) And no, I am not defending ZoS. I am also disappointed but it's happened so many times, since I started playing 4 years ago, that I've made my peace with it. Things will not get better, they never have. The content that is introduced is always nice. The performance continues to, more and more closely, resemble something that fell out the back end of a horse. Perhaps you should walk away now.

Hey, to be honest, video games are a pretty cheap hobby ..

get a pc you'll need anyway for other stuff, get a 60$ game, play and have fun for hours.
As far as hourly price is concerned, video games beat pretty much anything.

The whole idea of the Chapter being not in ESO+ is the initial exclusivity that is gated by money. You can see that in last year's dragon event where only those people who owned Elsweyr could get the who-knows-if-it'll-be-offered-again treasure pile deco. It's all part of the marketing -- selling exclusivity, pride of ownership, etcetera etcetera.

So many mistakes were made today that undermined that: No access even when you paid for it; login access; glitch that let everyone have it and probably unlock Antiquities.
And I don't think they have the guts to do a rollback when they should have pulled the plug right away.
They didn't take away the necromancers when people exploited the accidental Elsweyr access last year. I doubt they'll make any drastic moves now.

Just saying as far as worth goes, entertainment in general doesn't provide much, compared to, say spending same amount time and money learning some trade skill :P. And I'm fine with it.

Without sounding condescending, I hope. Sound advice for you would be to not base your own happiness on the experiences of others. This can only lead to dissatisfaction as you can never get ahead of everyone.

Also, value is simply a metaphorical concept. It is different depending on the individual contemplating it. If your concept of value is solely based on being the have, with the ability to “get ahead” of the have nots, then again, you will not gain any satisfaction from that mindset.

I agree over here in blighty it's £50 odd quid for an hour and a half football game with overpayed players kicking an air sack about and will probalbly lose.Video games are a bargin and theres also fifa
