    Anyone who uses LibDebugLogger having an issue with it beside me? Maybe it's an issue libdebuglogger is having with another addon?

    You should report that on esoui. Could help a lot of authors, maybe ask/post on the relevant/affected addon pages.

    Apparently, I have v2.1.0 of LibDebugLogger. It is active on all my characters. And my time display earlier when I was logged is was correct. Perhaps something else is conflicting with it? Either for you to screw it up or for me to correct it.

    Well ok but when i had only simple clock, which has no dependencies and libdebuglogger running my time was on utc... i have no idea how to check system time with just libdebuglogger running by itself...

    I have a thought. Maybe the issue is with the gamepadui? I play with a controller after all...

    Anyone using gampadui and anything that requires libdebuglogger?

    Did you guys make changes to the gamepadui yesterday by chance @ZOS_GinaBruno

    FWIW i found the best solution is to play in a window maximized (has the stupid bar at the top from the desktop decoration) and then to use a linux widget i built from the aur called digitalclock4bin that i can select to be above the other window by making it always on top and deselection always on top for eso window... but i cant use window fullscreen or full screen mode for eso or the digital clock widget is hidden... of course that means i also have to set my OS's task bars to auto hide as well

    At least until the debuglogger thingy is worked out...

    here's a pic shoing simple clock in game showing utc along with the widget showing the localtime wykkyd bar time is disabled)

    After careful consideration (and oh! so much deliberation) we have concluded that you circumstance sounds too much like a l2p issue for it to be just a mere coincidence.

    Please stop being so unimaginative. All addons are disabled except for the one that shows the time. That's all it does is show the time. Since the time it now shows post this mornings maintenance is utc where as before it was local, that means there is clearly something different going on that the system reports all times in utc rather than local. The issue isnt with the addon, but with the system reporting the time differently. Clearly you can see that.

    You seem to have moved on from rejecting addons as the cause of the problem.

    Is it the case that the two players with the problem are both using linux? Might that be connected with the addon issue you're now investigating? It's probably just another unimaginative question, but as the problem is so rare I'm trying to find common denominators that distinguish those suffering the problem from those who don't have it, and linux is in your name and stated to be used by the OP, while it is likely to be used by only a very small minority of players overall. Are you using linux and have there been any previous addon issues relating to linux, or issues relating to how linux reports things compared to Windows, do we know?

    The issue seems not to be specific to linux per se but with vulkan...

    someone suggested i use manghohud to get an overlay with the correct time. The above is an output of that run under goverlay for testing... so it must be a combo of vulkan and libdebuglogger as far as i can tell

    The image above shows the time in mangohud in opengl and in vulkan... the one in vulkan is using utc as far as i can guess

    So now i have to wonder when why and how vulkan is accessing UTC. This is so crazy

    eso launching with mangohub showing utc instead of local time.... looks like a vulcan issue

    dxvk and steam proton both have passed the buck to mangohud... others seem to agree that the dev there may provide some insights... here's hoping!

    I've managed to get the MiniClock addon to display the correct time for me by editing the lua file. There's a section towards the top that shows the following code.

    function MiniClock:getTimeString()
    local t, s = ZO_FormatClockTime()
    return t
    end

    I added a new function based on ZO_FormatClockTime() that subtracts 21,600 seconds from the time to display correctly (since my time zone is CST I subtracted six hours in seconds. You'd want to change it to -18000 for EST, -28800 for Pacific, etc.)

    function ZOCT_FormatClockTime()
    if(CLOCK_FORMAT == nil) then
    CLOCK_FORMAT = (GetCVar("Language.2") == "en") and TIME_FORMAT_PRECISION_TWELVE_HOUR or TIME_FORMAT_PRECISION_TWENTY_FOUR_HOUR
    end
    local localTimeSinceMidnight = GetSecondsSinceMidnight()
    local text, secondsUntilNextUpdate = ZO_FormatTime((localTimeSinceMidnight - 21600), TIME_FORMAT_STYLE_CLOCK_TIME, CLOCK_FORMAT)
    return text, secondsUntilNextUpdate
    end

    --
    -- Gets a formatted string representing the current time.
    -- now (2019-10) follows the format used by clock shown on map
    --
    function MiniClock:getTimeString()
    local t, s = ZOCT_FormatClockTime()
    return t
    end

    Hope this helps anyone having this issue. Good luck :)
