PTS Performance Improvements Fixes?

Hi @ZOS_GinaBruno,

There were a couple outstanding issues related to performance mentioned in the latest Performance Improvements Plan update that we are still waiting for on PTS.
https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/news/post/56681

I didn't see any mention of the following in this week's patch notes. Has this been pushed back?
*New* Animation Set Caching: Improved caching for our animation sets in order to reduce memory usage in situations with many players/monsters. This will result in improved stability, fewer “out of memory” crashes, and a slight improvement to FPS. This work will go into the week 3 PTS patch and is on track to release with Update 26.

Also, any update on the following?
We have made several fixes for the input lag issue that appears to address the problem on our internal development environments. However, it is impossible for us to simulate “real” server load internally, so we are going to include these fixes in Update 26 (they are not yet on the PTS but will be soon).

Thanks!

Animation caching was in 6.0.2 patch.
Still silence about input delay

Well it seems the only way we'll find out if the issue with input lag during high load is resolved is to actually test it in that situation. So unless everyone is up for Friday Night Fights in Cyrodiil on the PTS there is simply no way this will get answered before it goes live.

Oh, I missed that at the time. Thank you!

I'm assuming that the input delay "fixes" ran into some regression bugs during QA that required them to be sent back into development, but it would be good to hear directly from ZOS on the matter.

The supposed desynch fix shoud have been on the PTS at least this week. If they add it next week they will have one week to possibly adjust things, which is not very long. I can also imagine they don't give us the fix on the PTS at all. Little surprise for launch day... :|

How is it hard to simulate real server load? Log all the actions during prime time Cyrodiil for an hour, and then create the simulation from the log.

There has been alot of background stuff happening in the game with almost all of the population kept in the dark. From what I have seen/tested in the past few pts cycles it seems they are changing around a *** ton calculations which is where we keep seeing these random desync bugs popping up....usually due to a missing factor of 2 or something silly. Last pts there were bugs that actually did a health desync, but it was keeping people alive at -xxx amounts of health.

When damage calculations happen, they appear to separate into two calculations that for some reason do the same thing(seems inefficient to me, but im just a mechanical engineer) Now when they end up getting different results from what should be the same calculation we get desync bugs and the game tries to correct it eventually. Likely coding errors are the root cause of the issues, but I am not sure how much server performance plays a part. Usually on the pts desyncs are more abundant, which could be a sign that a worse performing server causes more issues >>> zos may be chasing coding and bug issues that are really only present because of poor performance.

There is nothing of it in 6.0.4 patchnotes and next week is live.

@ZOS_GinaBruno does fixes will go straight to live or it wont happen at all? coz next week is end of pts.

Nothing at all for being constantly stuck in combat? The whole PTS, and (again) no fixes even mentioned.
    Keep killing it.

The problem with the desync fix is they had it ready, pressed the button to start it and nothing happened...
