Splitting makeup out of head markings

One thing that I find very limiting in the character creation of ESO is the fact that makeup options are only a very limited part of the head markings. The characters have very few options on makeup style and are forced to pick from a small few combinations. Want dark red lipstick and black eye shadow? Not an option on most races. Want freckles and lipstick both? Nope. Want a scar and any makeup? Nope.

While this might require a bit of work and a fairly hefty patch I would LOVE to see the character creation modified to add a "makeup" section with lipstick color, lipstick style, eye shadow color, eye shadow style, blush, and eye liner style. Skyrim largely had this split out in this way.

I posted this in the crown store section because A) I did not see a better location for it (a character creation/Cosmetics section of the forums might be popular) and B) I would happily pay 10,000 crowns for a makeup table/furniture motif I could place in a house where I could go to alter the cosmetics of my character.

To add to the potential revenue of a system like this makeup colors could be a lot like dyes, such that rarer colors could be sold in the crown store, acquired as drops, given out in events, or given as gifts to ESO+ members on occasion. The initial selections would be fairly sparse, much like armor dyes, and you would need to collect more to get the ability to create different looks.

The makeup styles could also be limited at the start and sold/added through the crown store and other means. For people who would want this type of thing collecting a lot of the colors and styles would be quite important to them and as such be the type of thing that does very well on the crown store, similar to how much many people want more hair styles available to them.

I honestly cannot be bothered with the face tattoos and head adornments that are all over the crown store, but the above would get a lot of my money. It is kind of crazy we can pick from dozens of face tattoos and face markings and have a total of about 5 makeup selections.

PS: Even if additional pre-built makeup styles were sold in the crown store that could be added like the tattoos are, that would not be as good as splitting out the system and revamping the character creation but it would be a lot better than nothing. I imagine makeup/makeovers sold in the crown store as "markings" would be tremendously popular. Especially if you market them right, aka Vampire style blood red lipstick and dark eyeshadow. If the aforementioned cannot be done can we see more of things like this? These are fairly easy to implement and could be very lucrative.

So I found some older stuff that was added in crown crates that was makeup. Unfortunately it overwrote/replaced the head markings and any other style on the character.

What this means is a lipstick like this

    https://eso.mmo-fashion.com/crimson-flame-lipstick/

Removed any tattoo, scar, ect... and also makes it so that you cannot have dark eye shadow with the lipstick. Based on the comment on that page that issue was brought up, so they removed the lipstick drop.

This drop that should have been a cool add to your ability to create character style actually limits it due to the system in place.

This is why I really think the makeup needs an actual revamp and removal from the head markings. A person should be able to have a scar or freckles and some lipstick and eye shadow, they should not be mutually exclusive.

A big part of the reason additions such as the above and some fairly cool eye lashes and eye makeup drops in the crates does not work is because they are limited to being the only head marking you can have. It is like giving people a cool new armor motif, but you can only wear the breastplate, or leggings, or pauldrons at any one time.. you cannot actually wear a set for a complete look.

This needs a revamp in the way it is done so people can build a look.

Yeah, it would be nice. Some eyelashes are classed as Facial hair, but many types of make-up go into head markings. Want a tattoo with lipstick? Too bad.

Also, if you're scarred in an accident, apparently just put on some eyeshadow, and you'll be restored.

The fact that scarring is in the same layer as tattoos and cosmetics drives me bonkers. Both for body markings and for facial markings!

I'm in the same boat, no clue how feasible a change like this would be but I would love to see it all split up in multplie categories: scars, tattoos, make-up, ACTUAL facial hair, and maybe a misc or special category for all the crazy stuff like horns and blind eyes.

And for the love of everything holy, PLEASE LET US MAKE A LIST OF FAVS. As someone who switches things up a lot, scrolling through this endless list of stuff that doesn't interest me is hugely annoying.

Beards are also nonsensically lumped in with a number of options (like blind / oracle eyes, just off the top of my head) that have no logical reason to be exclusionary.

While this might require a bit of work and a fairly hefty patch I would LOVE to see the character creation modified to add a "makeup" section with...
...at least -TWO- or -THREE- layers of facial stuff.
Let's not ask for too much, but... at the very least they should have one "scars, freckles etc." layer and one "makeup & warpaint" layer... with the former done in chargen and mostly permanent, and the latter easily switchable in-game; heck, I'd want to see it added to the darn outfit system, so we can have elegant makeup for the "guild enchantress" outfit, and scary warpaint for the "battle-witch" outfit and so on... and then -tons- of added makeup options for that layer, including way more combinations then we get now...
Possibly also an extra layer for beards and adornments, which could then also be outfit system included, so that nord warriors can have a braided beard in one outfit, and a loose one in the other, or the enchantress wear jewelry while the battle-witch have a headband instead... maybe even make that two layers, so stylish pirates can wear beards AND earrings... though I suppose that could also be done with adding some "why not both" options to the list of one slot, yes?

BtW, they also really ought to make hairstyles part of the outfit system as well. I mean, we can quick-change those with a bit of investment already, so why not make all the hairstyles outfit options for "no helmet" as well? I reckon many would like to see long flowing hair for the "guild enchantress" outfit yet prefer practical warrior braids for the "battle-witch" and so on, yes?

And while we're at it... what about all those hats? Drop 'em into the outfit system as well so we don't have to manually mix and match!!

We actually do have this option already. Some crown crates offer blood red lipstick styles and then you can use the facial hair option for dark eyelashes/liner.

It depends on how the items are itemized according to this older thread about the same thing.

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/401359/please-let-lipstick-stack-with-eye-makeup

So eye lashes and lipstick would only both be equippable with some combinations where they are itemized differently as eye lashes are considered facial hair. In those instances from what I gather that still would include plastic surgery to remove a facial scar.

Plus eye lashes are possibly going to get itemized as facial hair but eye shadow probably normally does not so lipstick crate drops most likely end up overwritting and eye makeup from the original character creation screen (picked as a head marking).

I have a 21,000 crown purchase burning a hole in my pocket if they ever split out the makeup to be its own layer and then add makeup styles to the crown crates and gem store. Once I read back into this issue I realized this has been asked for by many players for quite some time.
