My Templar is literally trapped in Cyrodil. Everything was fine and in some big fights at first, no issue. Then zergs meet head to head and not only does time stop but I get kicked to login and if I try to log back on the character, it says I have no internet connection. This is legit like Shadowbane 15+ years ago and there is no excuse for it this late in the game. You've had the time and money to address this for years. Stop making excuses or looking for cheap fixes and spend it. The sentiment in zone and guild chats? The same. "Unplayable" is the most common word. I'm shocked that this is where you guys are right now considering the rest of the game. Unbelievable.
I stopped my Eso+ subscription when PVP performance started to go bonkers a few months back.
It's never been this bad; when you read 6+ star forum users writing things such as: 'it's always been like this', it is simply not true.

Why do you guys keep playing?
Normal people, when they don't like something, leave it until it is fixed.
Because it's fun, when it works. The only reason people complain so loudly is because we enjoy the PvP in this game.. when it isn't laggy and unresponsive.
When it does work right you won't find an MMO that can compete with it. The worst part is, it wasn't always this bad. The more updates they poop out, the worse things become, and it's killing me to see a game I enjoyed so much turn out like that.
Bashing and Slanderous Comments: We do not permit the bashing of individuals (including ZeniMax employees), groups, or other companies on our forums. We believe that doing so is neither constructive nor in spirit of our game and community.
If there are any questions in regards to the rules, feel free to take a few moments to review them here.Trolling or Baiting: The act of trolling is defined as something that is created for the intent to provoke conflict, shock others, or to elicit a strong negative or emotional reaction. It’s okay and very normal to disagree with others, and even to debate, but provoking conflict, baiting, inciting, mocking, etc. is never acceptable in the official The Elder Scrolls Online community. If you do not have something constructive or meaningful to add to a discussion, we strongly recommend you refrain from posting in that thread, and find another discussion to participate in instead. It is also not constructive or helpful to publicly call out others and accuse them of trolling, or call them a troll—please refrain from doing so. If you genuinely believe someone is trolling, please report the post or thread to the ESO Team, and leave it at that.

Then the lag returned. Sad times.
But it worked, and didn't lag despite all three factions being pop-locked.
So what was different for the first couple of hours? That would be interesting to find out and implement again please. @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_BrianWheeler any ideas?

Many of us have spent a lot of time looking for an alternative. There isn't one. On paper, Cyrodiil is just unparalleled. There isn't anything like it. Nothing I've found reproduces what ESO PVP can be at its best.Chicharron wrote: »If Cyrodiil is so bad, and according to the forums it has been bad since day 1.

The fact is the game needs to be rebuilt from the ground up, with a better engine and everything in order to achieve the results you want from it. The game has gotten so incredibly complex since 2014 to where the Devs initial design can't keep up anymore.
You won't be satisfied unless you're given an Elder Scrolls: Online 2.

But it doesn't work. It runs like a slideshow. Inputs don't lead to outputs in any predictable fashion. Your health bar is not actually indicative of how much health you have left. Lag is the basic state and the game working as described is the happy exception. On paper, it's great. But it literally doesn't work.
And the worst part? ZOS has been pretty straightforward with us that they don't take this problem seriously and they don't intend to devote resources to fixing it. It's never going to get better.
Please stop saying that Cyro has been like this from the start.
IT WAS NEVER THIS BAD!
Prior to the Harrowstorm DLC, Cyro was playable. A bit laggy in prime time but playable! Right now there is no point even starting the game until 2-3am.
If you keep saying the game has been this bad since 2014, ZOS will basically assume that this is normal and we'll never see any resources pumped into this issue.
