Just throwin that out there. It would make real life sense as well. The more pins that are out of your way the easier it is to force the finish.

    I agree with you but what I really want to see regarding lockpicking is a static timer with the number of pins increasing with the difficulty rating.

    Yes, I’ve always thought this! If there are only 2 tumblers to force, the odds should be much better than if all 5 are being forced.

    Why? The percentages are pretty accurate and its rare to go more than 2 tries.

    While it'll make logical sense, why would you want that? Just keep forcing it when a lockpick breaks, it's not like they're rare.
