#1 Priority should be fixing the Skill Lag

Forget everything else, this is the most important thing that needs fixing. What use is it to have all sorts of cool and neat mechanics, skills and items in the game if you constantly have to deal with lag and skills not going off, especially in Cyrodiil but also in dungeons and in most other aspects of the game.

I'm not prone to make posts like this, but I dared to try playing in Cyrodiil after a few days and my frustration at this game reached new levels watching stuns lagging seconds behind, needing four tries to cast Vigor, standing next to someone and Executioner not going off over and over. And this isn't even during prime time.

Every year we get promises the lag is being worked on. It's been 5+ years. Then there's hope at the end of the rainbow - a patch focused on performance fixes. And somehow this patch actually made performance WORSE. My mind is boggled.

So this is a plea - hire more programmers, get more servers, and convince the investors that these things are needed if this game is to survive and prosper.

    I've been stuck only playing bgs now. Cyrodiil is completely unplayable for me now, with the constant disconnects and horrible lag i've just decided to call it quits for Cyrodiil. It seems to me it gets worse and worse each patch.
    Grand Warlord HAXERUS. One of the last OG Mag DKs.
    Mag DK through Thick and Thin.
    Retired from Cyrodiil until they finally decide to fix the performance, which is probably never.

    Bgs arent even performing well. Skill lag is heavily present there

    I’m pretty sure it’s a capacity issue. ZoS’s hardware can’t handle the game’s load.

    It's no longer just a capacity issue, the issues have extended into trial content too. A change they made a few months ago has introduced bad instances where skill lag is persistent throughout the entire instance and it has made doing trials a lottery of resets until a good instance is found. An example of what is seen in a bad instance is blastbones going from every third gcd as it's intended to every 4th to 6th gcd, at random, with no way to predict when you should cast the ability next. This kind of lag also leads to trial mechanics breaking as abilities used by the bosses also have skill lag associated with them, meaning that the mechanic you are supposed to avoid comes 2-3 seconds after the visual indicator.

    There were no serverside calculations way back when the game could handle many more Players, aka free cheat engine for everyone.

    I ran VMA today (or at least 3 rounds of it). Ping was spiking into the red about every 10 seconds. I literally did not get one relentless proc in 3 rounds because light attacks wouldnt fire. Performance should be their number one priority, but as far as I can tell, it hasnt even cracked the top 10.

    I cant even parse on a dummy! In the middle of my rotation some of my skills will just stop working. The only fix i found to this that i found is to role dodge and that seem to fix the issue. In one instance i couldn't light attack so i couldn't use my spectral bow proc on my mag blade or get mag back. In another instance i couldn't even use my Ultimate.

    Who cares about performance - let's just "rebalance" the game around the parts that still kinda work (most of the time). /s

    Free cheat engine for everyone might actually have been a better deal versus the current state of performance.

    Your opponent might have wall hacks or aim bots but at least you can still play the game.

    I find that being able to PvP without Performance issues hardly matter when everyone can be an invincible, flying Meteor Spammer but thats just me.

    I have to agree. Skill and bar swapping lag or desyncs have been terrible lately. Most everyone in our guild has experienced it in one form or another and it really needs to be corrected. I think most of us are just fed up with the poor performance in this game lately.

    They are selling new chapter so this currently will never be first priority.
