    The important thing here is consistency. There had been an established standard, in trials and dungeons, for what speedrun means, and yes, it just meant that you're at the point where you have reasonably clean runs where you're not losing time to wipes. Which, yes, has traditionally been relatively easier than the ultimate achievements. But that's fine. There should be an even spectrum of difficulties covered by achievements, so that groups of all skill levels have intermediate goals that they can work towards, from just clearing it on vet all the way to the trifecta.

    When you say something like, "actually an achievement", that means different things to different people, depending on their skill level. For the people who just scrape by with the vet clear of a dungeon, yea, speedrun actually is an achievement for them, because it means they are starting to get cleaner and more consistent. For people who shoot for trifectas, no, it's not much of an achievement, but that applies to a lot of other things as well (and it's still more than just a clear). One person's easy achievement is another's hard achievement, which is why there should be a spread of easy, intermediate, and hard achievements instead of every achievement being hard.

    I agree the speedrun should be more achievable. I would say on PS4 NA most groups wouldn't be able to get the speedrun in sunspire on regular vet. Making dressing room available on console would bring it closer but even then load screens are extremely long on PS4 right now to the point any speed run becomes more challenging.

    The main issue is that no one cares. So many of our friends have quit due to balance and performance issues that it forced those who remained (formerly separate guilds/teams) to combine just to reach 12 people.

    It’s toxic asf and like 80% of the incentive now is for carries. Few groups left can even beat vCR HM. There’s like 1 group who wants to go for vAS HM 116K score but they’re not looking too hopeful, and Godslayer is leagues out from what any group on our server is capable of. Like rn the highest vSS score is a 164K this patch. When enough people quit that’s just what happens. Competition is what drives the best scores but too many players already quit.

    They could remove speed run from the Godslayer requirement and it’d probably still take half a year for a group to do it. I guess it depends on how much stronger we are in Greymoor too though with the new gear.

    I'd be curious to see the time of complete without any add-ons whatsoever. Use the vanilla game and base it off of that.

    and add aussie ping, and xbox load screens. These are things no player controls but which affects completion times of even the best players. Speedrun should be achievable without cutting it so fine that it eliminates even the most competent just because they are on the 'wrong platform' or live on the 'wrong' side of the world.

    How many of the dds were vampires? 120K DPS parses seem to be the norm at the moment, which is probably a bit more than ZoS was expecting people to pull :tongue: Might need to tone down Blood Frienzy and Arterial Burst.

    For 120k parse you need vamp skill that cost hp/s, gloves that increase dmg taken by 40% and perma vamp lord form (available only in new house). Don't think you can replicate that in trial without dying

    Last boss in hard mode is a piece of cake. Just dummy parse with some 5-year old mechanics that become way too easy to accomplish after two or three tries. I'm so dissapointed with the level of difficulty of this trial and hard mode.

    People think because the boss has 276 million it's difficult, but difficulty it's not a lot of health, but the fight mechanics, and EVERY SINGLE fight mechanic it's plain too easy in this hard mode (I don't even want to mention the non-hard mode version).

    ZOS is creating content for kids.
