Does anyone know what the new quest when turning into a vampire is called?
Or anything really about that quest, I'm very curious

I think its still called Scion of the Blood Matron but from what we've read on the patch notes it adds onto the original quest instead of completely rewriting it. I can't say for certain but it may just be the same quest we know and love or hate with an added part about the ultimate ability.

It is primarily the same with two big changes:

    1. It revamps the "Kill Worm Cultist" part by granting you every new Vampire Ability and making you use them on the Worm Cultist, one after the other. (With additional dialogue and explanations inbetween)
    2. Lamae Bal has new dialogue, wherein she states that her Blood Scions are magically engineered by her, so that they grow more powerful by feeding rather than starvation. She also further provides an explanation on how to "live" as a vampire.

The biggest thing here to me, is that they do explain by lore now, that most vampires grow stronger through starvation, rather than feeding. This displeased Lamae, so she changed this for her Blood Scions through extensive magic and rituals - apparently. It's an excuse, but at least one doesn't ruin past incarnations of Vampirism.

    That pleases me =)

The only odd dialogue is this one, which explains the new vampire lord form.

Also, to anyone who claims Blood Scion ain't a Vampire Lord. You're Wrong.

UH OH @TX12001rwb17_ESO wont be happy to see this. Yikes. Looks like you ARE a vampire lord. Just the devs for some reason designed it in the most un-creative way imaginable. (:

I mean I'm fine with the creative change to the vamp lord. We're not of the Volkihar bloodline :)

Good, Vampire Lord was never stated to be exclusive to the Volkihar Bloodline, Harkon stated it was a purity thing.

No not really, when I say Vampire Lord I refer to the winged Vampire Lord since it does not really have another name.

What is creative about not having wings yet still looking practically the same as a vampire lord?

As I stated in another post, this is Lamae Bal we are talking about, she is actually dumb enough to think that she can destroy Molag Bal so it is kind of obvious that she is not very bright, her idea of Perfection seems to be removing everything that makes the Vampire Lord powerful, the wings for starters, the lack of which would disallow the Vampire from being able to fly.

This I can kinda agree with. She must be truly dumb if she thinks wingless is better than wings.

Nothing in ESO can fly yet except npcs. I would agree with you if Zos made flying in eso a form of traveling (flying on brooms, dragons, having wings on yourself, ect.), but since they didnt, of course they are not going to fly.

What puzzles me is that there's a quest in Mournhold where you have to cleanse the Tribunal temple of daedra. One of the quest bits in there has you levitating much like you would as a vampire lord... and for a brief moment you're even able to move while levitating. So the whole levitating movement thing is technically already in the game, just need some additional combat animation and boom. Levitating vampire lord.

Still gonna give it a chance. Still wish they'd just call it what it is and go the extra few steps to make it so.
