Cheating in Cyrodiil

There is a dc player running through walls and floors(clipping through objects) holding a DC scroll at fare right at this moment.

I thought you guys addressed cheating in Cyrodiil. ZOS please look into this!

Edit 1: This not the same like getting stuck under the map because of a broken skill or something... this looks entirely different... the player was coming out into view deliberately (flying up and moving erratically) running through the walls and then going under the ground for a bit...

Probably got knocked through the wall with the scroll. Maybe they had someone do it, maybe not. Zos should fix issues like this that have been in the game since like launch. Things like getting knocked into walls or multiple load screens when the keep flips.

And even new ones that they refuse to address like using undo and it not working, which happens like 7/10 times you use it, or undoing yourself into a wall. But nope, they just keep barfing out updates and leaving performance in the gutter and old bugs still in the game.

should be useful if you could provide some infos while you are reporting this player. get ingame open a report ticket and fill out everything in every details, wich campain did this happend, proxi time when it took place, the player name etc you know the drill.

This isn't tied to cheating at all but rather the pathetic server performance we have right now.



That's me underneath Roe's South West tower, i could walk out towards the mine and then walk back into the wall and continue walking into the yard because the walls and ceilings didn't properly load for me.

I could walk out, Spank 4 people and then go back under the tower and everyone else would have the regular behaviour.

So stop yelling "cheating" just because something weird happens.

Yes as I said above, i could leave the objects and then walk back into them.

Sigh, I should of saved the footage, my wording isn't clarifying the extent of what I'm witnessing. I know what you guys are saying. This happened to me before, but what this DC player is doing is far from what should be possible with such glitches/bugs/issues and their broken game.

I had a player hit me with a beam while I was on my horse using rapid assist, stop me and one shot me all within 2 seconds. Cheating? Oh you bet there`s cheating but will ZOS do something, doubtful.

The best course of action when one suspects cheating it report it to Zos. Being able to provide a video if they ask for it is even better as most of us already have what is needed to record our game, even grab the last few minutes of gameplay. Then let Zos sort it out if it is cheating or a performance issue.

We have seen performance issues get people knocked out of the proper space we are to occupy and be able to move around but cannot be attacked. That is not cheating unless they can reproduce it and use it to their advantage.

Taking advantage of bugs and glitches is exploiting and against the TOS/CoC. So yeah, if you were taking advantage of bugged terrain to spank players and retreat to safety, those players would be completely justified in calling you a cheater. You may not have caused the bug, but you would have been taking advantage of it, thus exploiting.

In this case, the player may not have intentionally caused the terrain glitch, but they certainly are taking advantage of it to run the scroll.

Yep. It's up to ZOS to figure out if it was a case of intentional cheating or if the player hit a glitch that allowed it and now they are just having some fun with it (Which I can't blame them for). If they figured out how to intentionally trigger the glitch and keep doing it , that would fall under exploits but again, something for ZOS to determine.

And the guy is still doing it, he runs to our keep and grab our scrolls simply clips through the walls, speeding around... flying up in the air to the top of the fd postern... well yea.. it's legit..... did report him/her though. :P

Cause if that happens and you don't leave immediately. Wwweeellllll your kinda exploiting the bug.

yes the character was literally named Cheat Engine, chuckled but it needs to be fixed somehow

You would drop it if you logged out, I've had to do this when getting stuck in holes

Is this on PC Na, the locked cp campaign? If so I saw a DC toon do this at least twice today, without ever even flagging the keeps. I failed to get his name either time but he needs to be reported, I play for DC and hate seeing this kind of behavior too.

I've seen the entirety of it and read what the players had witnessed. The DC player literally jumped up about 15 meters from under the scroll pedestal to quickly grab the scroll at Faregyl. Then when the DC player failed to take it, he quickly sank back to the ground. The movements of the player was very unnatural and no such glitch should allow the player to perform such feats as he did. ("speed running or sliding" and jumping 3x times higher than a normal player should.)

And when the player does get the scroll, he runs to every rock and hides inside it with the scroll and trolls AD.

The person was cheating at Fare. I was there and saw them.

I saw them again at Nik jumping with and without a mount from the porch to the top of the outpost before the outpost was breached. Running around casting spells and jumping off. They did this several times. They also did this at Ash.

Many people that were there saw the same things.

They have been reported by several people.

One of the times when the PC-EU server totally crashed last year, after I managed to log back in I was still standing where I was right before the crash - right outside Chalman Keep, approaching from the mineside.

However, the keep was gone... there was just empty land where it was supposed to be.
I got on my horse and managed to ride about 2/3rds of the way through the keep (I could see its outline on my minimap) before any of its geometry started to load.
So yeah, I totally just rode my horse through several stone walls.

TBF, a skilled sniper can do that without cheating if your health and resistances are low enough.


IRT Thread: We've had a few of those on PC EU as well, this is 100% a cheat and not someone doing this by mistake. One time we killed a dude under the floor with AoEs. The good thing is we've rarely seen them too often there. They're annoying for one session and then they'll disappear.

not commenting on this case, but there are still programs that do work.
you have to find them, although they are not too hard to find in the usual forums, and you have to pay for them. but they still have some pretty hefty features like going through walls, into the ground, and much more.
don't use them, don't try them on your (main) account. stay clean, stay safe!

Even (and especially) if ZOS can't code ways to thwart cheat programs, an investment in live GMs who can respond in real time to all sorts of TOS violations would be a great improvement.
Once they start handing out permanent bans for not just cheating but harassment and other TOS violations, I think we would see a real change everywhere in the game, not just in gameplay but on the forums as well.

As soon as they are "having some fun with it" they are exploiting the glitch.
Way too many incidents on the forums of people defending exploitive behavior, harassment, and other TOS violations.
ZOS needs to clean up the community and overnight it will be a better game. Maybe once the cheaters and exploiters are gone some of the performance issues might lessen. Who knows.

The game is six years old. In that time ZOS have never taken a clear stance on cheating or exploiting. By clear I don't mean pointing out some more or less unenforced terms and conditions. I mean calling out exploits and cheats for what they are and taking public action. Even without naming names, it would be trivial to announce X players banned for cheating. They clearly have no interest in ruffling anyone's feathers, even those of cheaters/exploits, as long as they're potential subscribers or clown buyers.

Taking a scroll twice from an unflagged keep, while named Cheat Enginee is a bit suspicious.

Yea, I saw it, can confirm it was definitely cheating. He could jump like 20ft in the air, he took a scroll at Arrius and ended up behind our gates 1 minute later. Was weird.

Taking a scroll from a keep isn't cheating 99.99% of the time. You just gotta wait a lot, but it's doable if you're already in the keep.

I love the people all saying to report it to ZOS. They do NOTHING about it. I've seen cheating, recorded it, reported it, and get the same response. "Put the person on ignore." LMAO. Great game. Don't fix the problems, the horrendous server issues or the bugs. Just keep pumping out new content.

The least that could happen would be for ZOS to contact the person, and have an actual human respond and explain things. That might help.

There is no point reporting, i know 20 peeps reported the other day a guy who wished someone would die from covid in zone chat and nothing happen, i really think zos does not care about cheat etc or they would be vocal on it more, the game is broken skills / lag etc not going of and yet not fixed, so there is no point saying anything on here, if we all stopped using forum maybe then they would do something
