Try to log in. Password is incorrect. Go and change password. Use new password. New password is incorrect. Change password again. New NEW password is incorrect. Sorry, I'm starting to get tired of this. Same thing happened last month. Time for me to unsubscribe and stop paying money for this.

Yes, I'm aware of that. I would not be able to post here if the issue was with the forums. It's the user account I'm having issues with.

If the same thing happened last month, @morneblade, then you should be familiar with the account recovery section of Online Support.

Just remember it's not the game's nor ZOS's fault that you can't remember your password.

But then I would not be able to login to the forums using the same password I always do, or didn't you bother to think about that. No, didn't think so.

No, it's because I had to change it several times last month because it stopped working, and I had not logged in since. But thank you for your helpful input. :p

Maybe I should clear something up, since I've had nothing but trolls. The issue is that once I change my password (and I get confirmation that I have changed my password) the new password does not work either. And that would be a issue on Bethesda's end.

    A couple of thoughts.

If you have a password manager, use it and set the password in there first, then copy/paste the password into the password fields when changing it, and when logging in. This way, you are always absolutely sure that you are typing the password correctly. Sometimes things get different with capital letters, etc, and might not be noticed.

If you don't have a password manager, you should get one. Until then, you can use a text editor (an editor that has no styles like bold, italics, etc). Notepad on Windows is an example. Don't save it! Just use it to copy/paste when setting the password, and then after you confirm that you can log into the game a couple of times, close it without saving.

Also, don't go for really tricky passwords. If you are using punctuation or spaces, try using just letters and numbers.

i know your not crazy. had this happen to me last time i picked up the game (prior to this time). I had to reset it, and give it nearly 24 hrs before it recognized my new password, and i was using a password manager, then copied it to the game. tried the password manager password i had for hours no luck. when i woke up the next day, and used my password manager again it worked.

I've had partial success. I've reset my game login password and finally was able to get it to work. However, I"m still not able to get into my Bethesda account. They apparently are different (as is apparently the forums login, as I have no issues with it). This has been quite frustrating, as I was actually just trying to login to my Bethesda account to preorder Greymoor. I guess my question now is: how do I reset my Bethesda password to login to the site? Thanks

Head to the Bethesda forums or Support for that, @MornaBaine ... you're correct that Bethesda, ESO account, and ESO forums logins are all separate.
