The advantage of dark elves is that you can swap between magicka or stamina if one gets nerfed or you get bored.

The same is true for Khajiit though — they get max mag/stam/health & mag/stam/health recovery, and instead of the SD/WD they get a bonus 10% crit which is good for both magicka or stamina. I've played both and I'm not sure which one I prefer between the two. They're both very versatile.

(Although I play magblade exclusively now, and I prefer my Breton to either Dunmer or Khajiit.)

You're quite right. I hadn't noticed that before.

100% i been a darkelf Stam NB for 2 years now and since it gives you max magic, max stam and weapon damage you can play around with sets and abilities just like this

All the builds i make on TESO are based on the Lineage 2 PC game before it turns free to play,so if i play a dunmer is the closest i have it to the dark elf race of that mentioned game.

The newly addition to spell and physical damage racial skill passives helped me to decide to choose the dunmer.

I never liked khajiits, just for the racial passives in the past, but having a feline head is not fun.

Now i must wait till i have the Elsweyr expansion at the end of the month.

In meantime i read things of the game in this forum. See you soon on ps4.

I tryed the magicka nightblade on a breton in the past. I call the build the blood mage. However they say that the magicka nightblades are weaker than stamina ones.

I can really only speak for PvE, but they've been nerfed into the ground over the past year or so.

    No more minor berserk.
No more major fracture (unless you use Reaping Mark, which is a pain).
Cast times added to ultimates (Incap and Dawnbreaker).
They did something to mess up the spectral bow; I can't even remember what now.

The class in general feels like a shadow (hur hur get it?!?! Shadow?!?!) of its former self. I'm not someone who jumps from meta class to meta class, but I just had to shelve mine for now. It's just too sad to see what the class has become.

others turn to drink to forget their past...khajiit turned to tanking...thank you for reminding this one how bad the past was...when a vampire sucks you dry...this one was close to hear you suffer as much as he suffered from this memory!

    Wood elf op

I should play a wood elf on a stamina nightblade,if they are not...short heights. They are the smallest characters in teso by excellence. We all players must make wood elfs equally tall as the other races.

But aside of that,i prefer dunmers,or bretons if playing a magicka character.

I will play a dunmer stamina nightblade or breton magicka one, that is for sure. Btw i can not play now cause i do not have ps plus. Maybe at the end of the month i will replay my adventures in teso ps4. Till then i only can read teso forums or play othee games.

Thanks all for clarify the current state of the nightblades, but i still want to play one. So if you want to tell me tricks for a nightblade in both pvp and pve, gonna be wonderful. If not, well my post can be closed or whatever. The things i wanted to know i have already read.

Pay 2 win. You serious? What is p2w about Warden and Necro?

Do you even know what p2w means?

Necro top PvE dps+utility=must have, best all around class in PvP. Locked behind a pay wall.
    What do you call that?

Can't be pay to win unless you know what you're doing with the class 😉

Hey some of us are short in RL and like being a short wood elf in game!!

It's frustrating to work three times harder than friends playing other classes, and disheartening to see unique class gifts removed and given elsewhere. But I still love my stamblade.

I just see a poll some posts below saying that nightblades are not popular in battlegrounds.
My old Khajiit stamina nightblade was good in duels but I did not test it on battlegrounds. Some time ago the stamina nightblades was all awesome. Now not anymore? Because I will play one again.

I want to know if they are still viable in both pvp and pve.

They are very op they need another nerf so they can pillow fight more...

One issue I wish ZOS would take more seriously is when they nerf classes or just dump on them by removing abilities people don't just hop to another class. They hop to another game. I just came back for the event and once its gone I'm gone. Sure I'll come see what's the new stuff looks like but ESO just doesn't act like a game that cares about keeping its players. I don't even know what all this balancing then going a different direction every six months is supposed to accomplish. Make people not care about your game... successful I guess. That's just a weird goal.

Also I don't care about what race is best for what. If I want a Breton stamblade then that's what I'll play (yeah that's what I play) because unless you're investing in race change tokens its up in the air how long you will enjoy yourself.

My main is still a nightblade. I think its still an enjoyable class. Just don't expect it to be good in the areas you seem interested in. Doesn't mean the class isn't fun to play. Its in an interesting place considering this is a mmo. But if you don't play with anyone else its a cool class. Its just a weird class to have in an mmo nowadays.

In PvE it is still fun to play, i agree - but the class identity is somewhat lost - when I look at my bars, i had 80% nb skills on them before, now it is at most 60% and the way in which I am playing this class is quite different to before as well.
