Spammables need a buff

Ok. So in light of the suggested changes to light/heavy attacks. We need a significant buff to spammable damage to make up for the lost damage from light attacks which were cut by 78%.

I fundamentally disagree with lowering the skill gap, but if you must do so, we need some sort of tool to retain previous damage.

I think this is likely true of many abilities. LA weaving was basically building damage in to every attack we did (and buff, hah hah). So I think we need to see an across-the-board increase in base damage of abilities.

I agree that spammables need a buff. Then I would like to add, that some classes/weapons lack spammables.

I disagree on the part with lowering the skill gap. There never was a skill gap, it was all about ping and motor memory.

There absolutely is and will continue to be in PvP. Positioning, knowing when to engage or disengage and how to disengage matters quite a bit

LA used to be about 25% of the parse, so all of the rest damage skills need a buff to compensate for the loss of that damage. Both DOTs and spammables. Cuz if you only buff spammables - DOTs will become useless Rotation will become: blockade/hail for enchant and spam one skill for the remainder of time. It will be an extremely boring rotation. Could also buff vMA destro to compensate LAs damage loss. So that people who prefer LA weaving do not get punished.

My perspective is mainly pvp. But yes you are quite right.

Well I personally know a player with disability who could not perform damage rotation due to disability. But again does not mean that you need to nerfhammer preferred playstyle.
It's fine to buff HAs for ppl who can't do LA weaving, but not OK to nerf LA weaving. Something needs to be buffed in order to compensate for nerfs.

Yeah, I don’t think spammables need a buff TBH. DoTs are still in a bad place from Dragonhold, and only a select few are worth using (Wall, Hail, Orb, and maybe 1-2 from each class). If the Light Attack damage reduction goes live, it would be a good time to increase DoTs so that the DPS ceiling remains constant (right now it has dropped at least 10k on PTS). Personally I’d love to see the return of Liquid Lightning, Vampire Bane, Poison Injection, Crippling Grasp, and even Degeneration in DPS builds.

I think the point is that if we're getting a dps nerf on light attacks, the damage needs to be regained somewhere across the board or it's just an overall damage nerf which won't help anyone catch up (in pve at least).

Making light attacks less relevant to dps isn't a horrible idea, but if it's just a careful way to disguise an overall dps nerf with no gains anywhere else then I'm not impressed with the implementation.

Players will still weave, but for sustain instead of damage and lesser skilled players who don't/can't weave will still be left behind, just in a different way.
