PC vs Console

SummerNights91
I have recently made the switch from playing on PS4 since launch to PC and the difference in the frames per second and ping is amazing. I can play the game again. For so long I thought the game was just meant to always have a 3 second skill delay in cyrodill. 🤦‍♀️ I'm starting to think the dev's just dont know how to fix all of the issues on console. Cyrodill and pve trials are unplayable on console. Something always glitches out or you are lagging so bad you cant do anything. WHATS UP WITH CONSOLE? It's literally been messed up for a year. Are console players ever going to see any improvements?

Don't worry...give it enough time and you'll hear the same complaints about PC. I switched from Xbox to PC about 8 months ago, and already I get frustrated at frame drops and lag. I have a budget AMD PC that I built myself as a summer project so I shouldn't expect much, but you get used to the better performance, and even when it lags and is still waaaaaaaaaay better than console, you inevitably get upset. It's what we do as an ESO community...we complain :( Sorry to be a downer, I'm truly glad your playing experience is better now. Welcome to PC.

I agree. I'm not expecting things to be perfect. I have experienced the lag on PC already but it's way better then console. On console it never gets better, you have to learn to play with high ping and crappy fps all the time. That is what the game has become on console. It's sad

Often Cyrodiil's skill delay is due to server-side getting bogged down. Outside of that, it is easy to have a PC that is more powerful than a console unit which does lead to the improved playing experience you have noted. Ofc, someone can still play on a potato of a PC and have a worse experience than console does.

    Welcome
FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
    FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.
    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.

    Balance is a "Bad" thing.
Is the glass half full or half empty?
I say, "Get a smaller glass."

I imagine console performance will be alot better when the next gen consoles are released. But that also brings more unanswered questions to the table as well
