I live in Europe, and I play on the NA servers... and I found the game quite playable even at worst times. Yes, even after the latest patch.
Oh, sure, Cyrodil lags like oblivions armpit, but doesn't it always when a zerg passes by? And sure, there are loadscreens, and sometimes things can be a bit slow to load after wayshrining when everyone and their granny is online... but I for one still found it quite playable if one takes a couple extra seconds to pause after each teleport for stuff to fully load...

So... maybe look at your connection instead?

I mean the game is unplayable with perfect connection and no natural disaster needed. I can't believe how many people come to forums and white knight this company. If anyone thinks they are getting there moneys worth from Zenimax than you have some low expectations.

Either that or they're not one of the 10% or so who play solely to do PvP and/or Trials. Then again, people who aren't subscribing currently and aren't using the Crown Store but are still playing are certainly getting their moneys worth from Zenimax.

Not really unplayable, but today I've noticed after battle, can't loot anything. NPCs stand in one place and don't do the normal walk around pattern. Irritating when you are trying to get that illusive strong box!

6am pacific, PC NA....the lag and random disconnects begin

Plan on no PvP in the main campaign for the foreseeable future. Let's hope Monday's update is productive.

It's not peoples' connections, ZOS has said numerous times there are problems since u25, or have you missed those? Why do people who have fewer problems than a lot of others always try to discredit or invalidate the people whose games are literally unplayable with 'lol check your connection'? OP might have used a bit of hyperbole in their post, but that doesn't mean the game isn't actually unplayable for them, as it has become for quite a few people ever since the 'performance' update.

Was just soloing my lvl 42 DK in a public dungeon. 50 FPS and ping around 45. Game was responsive enough I could solo the many bosses in the dungeon. I'm not sure how this game is unplayable? Parts of it are bugged but IMO move on to other areas of the game. So many things to pick from.

Yeah, the game cater to people like you, casuals, no offense. Spend sometime reading other posts, high level raids, vma, vdsa, PVP, all those many things to pick from as you mentioned are close to unplayable due to the high level of skill/precision is required. 1-2 sec (some cases 5 secs) where abilities are delayed means raid wipes, arena wipes, means getting killed in pvp.. sure public dungeons work but you can do those with your eyes closed and no hands.

Glad you are having fun in the game though.

I have been playing fur 9 months, I'm CP620, Full gold gear, almost 9 trait crafter, been killing it as a healer in vet and Cyrodiil, made a new char and in a few hours game pIay I'm lvl 42. I have been hard core MMOing for 22 years and I have played games that were way bugger then this game. EQ1 still has bugs that go back to beta. My philosophy, don't keep banging your head when a part of a game is broken, move on to something else to progress your char. When ESO gets cyrodiil back to full swing it will be my focus again. Zen has said they are working on the problem.

I like your optimism. I've played MMOs not as long but I would say at least 10 years, not once I've seen a game as big as ESO with such issues. Move one, yeah, Ive been theorycrafting builds like a madman now, so at least I have that, that will only last so much tho.

No reason to pick on casuals. I'm a casual player and like other casual players see similar problems to those running higher level content. While it might be seen somewhat more frequently in higher level content the problem pops up any time activity and the speed of the activity increases. I regularly run into skill misfires in open world group content, normal group instances or any place I need to use combat and avoidance skills quickly. So please stop disparaging those of us that are "casuals" and remember we are all in this leaky boat together.

We have a guildie located in New Caledonia with a ping of around 250. We did COA II Hardmode yesterday and he did great. Sure didn’t seem to me that he was having “unplayable” issues :)

Every online service is going to feel the same pressure

Discord had issues on Monday, Netflix is reducing the quality of its streams, Xbox Live was out earlier this week. In the UK we’ve seen home delivery services shut down because their computer systems couldn’t cope with demand.

You can’t have a system suddenly facing a 2, 5, 10 fold increase in demand that’s not going to have issues.

Right now I suspect that lag and ping increases aren’t simply the game or ZOS’s fault.

Yea bc the game ran so smooth and was perfect before the pandemic.

And yet somehow I sense you mean exactly the opposite...

Casuals is by no means something offensive, idk why people take it that way. I consider my self a pvp casual. Cheers

Care to define what a non casual player is, this is after all a game which people play in their spare time for fun?

Pretty close to being unplayable here on PC EU. Ping still isn't crazy on the bottom left hand side of my screen, but oh boy..It feels like 999 ping.

ESO + scrubbed since the beginning of these crash/lag/disconnect issues and I'm not resubbing until this is 'stablish' (all we can ask for at the moment)

Have you tried PVP? I have no desire to do the same dungeons we have been doing for the last 6 years I'm good. End-game pve is in a bad place too go try to do actually difficult content. Stop white knighting for this company they are committing fraud with every twitch ad that promotes a functioning game. Skills don't fire, you can't CC break, and the amount of things that health desync is actually insane. Maybe if some of you would stop sticking up for them they would actually have to respond to this crap.

I wish my ping was that low. 600+ on a good day. 23ms to the local ISP switch in Los Angeles so it goes to crap past there.

"Move on to something else to progress my character?" I'm 1200+ cp and I been killing healers in Cyro for LONGER than 9 months lol. PvP and PVE arre both broken, not merely a bit buggy, but BROKEN. That is to say, when ZOS rolled out Update 25, that roll out came with a whole series of NEW bug that just were not present in the game in Update 24. With rerspect to something very basic to the game, COMBAT itself, is BROKEN. If you can't see that after logging in and playing for ONE MINUTE in Update 25, maybe playing for 9 months and killing it in Vet and tossing out some heals in Cyro don't make you quite the expert you think it does. Keep at it!
