Officially unplayable

Im calling it, this game is unplayable from asia pasific connection wise.
Constant lag, high ping, freeze and kicked out to login screen accumulating since summerset update is enough for us up to this point, no matter time of the day we play, we are tired.
I refuse to believe somebody outside the local server can compete and playing this game properly.
Dont get me wrong, i still remember we can actually play this game in morrowind and summerset.

Edit: i play at pc eu, mainly cyrodiil pvp, faction lock and non faction lock, i have no internet problem.
Looking at our current world situation, we can agree there is an increase in internet traffic across the world.
But no, i get this poor connection problem since midyear mayhem started, it is too bad that i need to take a break until harrowstorm update drop.
The funny thing is i have 150 less ping 4 days after harrowstorm launch (A.K.A crash apocalypse), but it getting worse after crash and stam regen patch fix.

He just described the same issues hundreds have already described.
Far more constructively than most... I'm not sure corona virus is even a factor in current performance.
I am on PC EU and have the exact same issues he described.

Months ago these exact problems that have been happening, are still happening regardless of corona virus.

Every online service is going to feel the same pressure

Discord had issues on Monday, Netflix is reducing the quality of its streams, Xbox Live was out earlier this week. In the UK we’ve seen home delivery services shut down because their computer systems couldn’t cope with demand.

You can’t have a system suddenly facing a 2, 5, 10 fold increase in demand that’s not going to have issues.

Right now I suspect that lag and ping increases aren’t simply the game or ZOS’s fault.

I play on PS4 NA I could not even play in the main locked campaign without lag, so I went into black reach with the Hope's of it being better and it was absolutely garbage as well! So I thought hey let's try the sewers? Nope the same thing completely garbage and unplayable!

The dsync and skill firing issue existed well before the coronavirus lockdowns. This is primarily what I'm experiencing tonight and I agree with the OP in that the game is virtually unplayable. I quit out just no because I just couldn't enjoy myself. Even in regular overland PvE I was experiencing dsyncs and misfires.

My wish for everyone right now is just to stay safe and isolate/social distance. And I wish the same for ZOS' employees. They should not risk their health for a game. But i do hope when this blows over they will take a serious look at these issues and do something about it. If not I for one will cancel my subscription until it's fixed.

Blame the guy's connection when this game's performance has become complete trash since elsweyr hit and even more since update 25 two weeks ago. It has nothing to do with the gorvernor of california telling 25m people to stay at home lol. The tinfoil hat lengths that people go to defend zos.

This performance patch has killed the game. Its in the most unplayable state it has ever been on PC/NA as well. I mean sure its fine if all you ever do is normal dungeons and RP but if you want to do anything else its just really bad.

Eso is the only game in which ping for asia/oce goes to 350-450+ while in other games we have 100-250 and our complaints to zos are baseless?

Was just soloing my lvl 42 DK in a public dungeon. 50 FPS and ping around 45. Game was responsive enough I could solo the many bosses in the dungeon. I'm not sure how this game is unplayable? Parts of it are bugged but IMO move on to other areas of the game. So many things to pick from.

No sure that successfully running vet trials and dungeons with my friends for the entire evening without having any technical issues really qualifies as ‘unplayable’ in my book.

I am getting exactly what I expect to get for my money. It’s 50 cents a day well spent. Not entirely sure what else I could have done for that much that would have given me the same enjoyment right now. But hey that must just be my ‘low expectations’ talking.

Yeah, the game cater to people like you, casuals, no offense. Spend sometime reading other posts, high level raids, vma, vdsa, PVP, all those many things to pick from as you mentioned are close to unplayable due to the high level of skill/precision is required. 1-2 sec (some cases 5 secs) where abilities are delayed means raid wipes, arena wipes, means getting killed in pvp.. sure public dungeons work but you can do those with your eyes closed and no hands.

Glad you are having fun in the game though.

Spend sometime reading other posts (they show proofs, facts), in fact it has even confirmed by ZOS that there are issues with abilities not firing properly and many other things (stun breaks not working, etc.), and even after they "fixed" them last incremental patch issues still remain.

There are issues plaguing the game, always have, always will, and unfortunately more so now than before. People are much more vocal due to the fact that this last major patch was all about performance improvements and all it did was the opposite.

My experience has gotten much worse, even in pve, I PVP almost exclusively but good to hear someone does not have issues.

Nope. public dungeons DON'T. I was soloing a dungeon tonight on my GO2, 1200 cp toon. Went for a heavy attack and glitched out. The Heavy attack animation was like i was moving from side to side really quick. Just spazzing out. None of my skills would go off all I could do was light attack. Popped a pot and slowly my skills came back. The game is broken. Even PvE.

Not to even mention the THREE times block dropped in another dungeon when all I was doing was HOLDING BLOCK. Before that went to Cyro for an hour and left. This do other thing nonsense is just NONSENSE. I wish I were a casual player lmao.

Yea this sums it up well. Catering to people on free to play accounts who don’t buy expansions seems weird to me, but that’s what they’re doing.

I have been playing fur 9 months, I'm CP620, Full gold gear, almost 9 trait crafter, been killing it as a healer in vet and Cyrodiil, made a new char and in a few hours game pIay I'm lvl 42. I have been hard core MMOing for 22 years and I have played games that were way bugger then this game. EQ1 still has bugs that go back to beta. My philosophy, don't keep banging your head when a part of a game is broken, move on to something else to progress your char. When ESO gets cyrodiil back to full swing it will be my focus again. Zen has said they are working on the problem.

And they have been working on that problem for years now and what we have is even worse than it was a year ago. Cyrodiil performance have been steadily deteriorating since I began playing with no fix ever, no matter how much they "worked on it".
It kinda worked for some, me among them, during MYM, then immediate went back to extreme lag afterwards, even on half empty campaigns. Then they went and added more lag with U25 plus a desync issue they don't seem to know what to do with.

Except there are no ‘free to play’ accounts. Everyone who plays has paid. They’re just as valuable and important as players who sub or buy all the DLCs

I live in Japan and play on the NA PS4 server. I do have very long load screens and do get lag sometimes (mostly Cyrodil),but the game is not unplayable for me.
