I was thinking more along the lines of its other main feature. You know, the one that rendered any ability with a cast time (or projectile travel time) effectively 100% worthless.KappaKid83 wrote: »
Agreed, before it was showing you Alliance numbers including players in stealth, pretty mind blowing stuff.
Miat's PVP Alerts. I mean seriously! Any addon like this should be removed and banned from the game....
I am absolutely against addons like this.
It takes away all skill people have in pve and if I cast something against a player behind their back from a distance, from stealth without them being able to see or hear me and they can dodge just because an addon warns them, YES, that IS cheating. Because normally, they would get hit by it for they would never see it coming without this.
Stop justifying your carry addon.
I hope Zenimax reintroduces skill by completely outlawing this.
wtf i've been pvp'ing for 6 months (only pvp) and i had no idea such an addon existed
No one replied to me when i asked on my pvp discord channel

That's because it doesn't exist as such and so can't be abused.

"Addons will now only know about attacks that target you after they hit you in PvP areas.
Developer Comments:
Addons will no longer receive BEGIN combat events in PvP areas if they target the player, and come from a hostile source."
That's from February -- of 2018. Any claims that an add-on can warn you of incoming PvP attacks against you are over two years out of date.

I tried making the argument that add-ons were a greater cause of unfairness than so called "exploits," since at least exploits were part of the base game as it ships, while add-ons involve installation of additional custom scripts. These forum people did not agree. [snip]
