I like anything with snow like Eastmarch. I like anything with Ra Gada like Craglorn. I dont like anything like the terrain in Elsewyr. The rest ebbs and flows

For me, I dislike Stonefalls due to the lava and difficulty getting around it. I also hate to play Coldharbour because it is just dank and depressing.

Clockwork City is a joy because it was so different and Rivenspire was nice and relaxing.

I agree about Stonefalls, but I'm fond of it because I've played it quite a lot, but yes, it's a pain to navigate. And I LOVE Clockwork City for the same reason, a departure from the norm. But oh dear me NO about Rivenspire. It obviously reflects the zone story, with its grim barren feel but all it's dried grass and withered trees depress me. I'd love some gardeners to move in once you've completed the zone to help with greening the place. ;) But, I do enjoy zones which offer a bit of phasing, where your actions change and open areas. I'm pretty sure Rivenspire has a couple of places like that?

I absolutely love Summerset. I don't normally like overly coloured fantasy themes but Summerset is such a contrast to everywhere else, it's a delicious pudding for the eyeballs.

And lastly I'm very fond of Elsweyr, even though it's a little deserty, there are some beautiful bits of landscape - the sugar cane farm in the southern end of NE is great. I particularly appreciate mmo areas where they serve a purpose for the npcs, who go about their business around you, rather than just waiting statically to give you quests. Orsinium is good for that feeling too, I think? It feels lived in.

Oh and Murkmire! I love Murkmire, even though it's swampy and scary.

    Cyrodiil.

That zone BLEEPS the whole game for me.

The main story, once finished, BLEEPS on Cyrodiil and also the base game zones. So ideally you want to finish Cyrodiil and at least your first alliance zones before the main story.

But if you're not into pvp, Cyrodiil and later IC are a pain in the arse. Even if you go into one of the less populated servers with the goal of avoiding as much pvp as possible.

I've finished the main story on a grand total on 1 character. Managed to get the gated skyshards on all. Only finished all the quests, shards, delves, dolmens on 2. IC skyshards on all but my necros. Haven't done IC story on any.

Haven't leveled pvp past 8 on any character.

Ah yeah, true - those pvp zones - I just ignore them as if they wouldn't exist.

Dislike - Wrothgar, Bangkorai, Murkmire, Shadowfen, Stormhaven (orcs, lizards, spiders - meh)
Like - Summerset, Vvardenfel, Deshaan, Greenshade (elves, flowers and shrooms!)

I understand why, because it's not realy designed for those of us who aren't into PvP, but it does seem a little light on 'character', as though the finishing touches you find in zones in the main game were left out. And it it seems to take WEEKS to get anywhere when you're trying to run across it. So yes, not my fave place at all, but I kind of feel it's not for me? :)

I'd be happy to totally ignore it.

But a large proportion of the game's limited skill points are locked in there.

Also achievements (eg. tamriel skyshard hunter) and dyes.

If you're a gimped for options class like warden, that 1 extra magicka damage ability (magicka detonation) is a must have.

If you want to play a healer and you're not a templar or necromancer, you might also feel the need for the aoe purge.

I love Elsweyr, both north and south. Also enjoy Summerset. I am not a huge fan of Grahtwood, really annoying to navigate. Beautiful looking zone though.

Y'know.... I've always loved the view of Elden Root. There's just something about a tree so huge that you can't see all of it....

And that only got better when I saw the dragon flying around it.

    Magickal. Seriously.

Really is a sight to see, if you have not done it you need to climb the tree and get to the big mushroom platform. But man, if you go the wrong way in that zone it can be frustrating.

I find the "normal" zones quite boring. I've repeatedly expressed my deep-seated hatred for Glenumbra >:) , but Stormhaven is also rather ... unspectacular. The same goes for Auridon. There's nothing interesting there.

I am very fond of Stonefalls' and Vvardenfell's lava environment. They're exotic and interesting. And glowy!

As for Murkmire - yes, it has its drawbacks. But the light! Murkmire in the morning or evening hours has some of the best lighting in the game - warm, colourful, with a slight haze draped all over it... They really nailed the atmosphere with that one.
Northern Elsweyr is also great in that regard, even though it has a totally different mood.

Dislike Malabal Tor. Too hard to get around, not enough reason to go there.

I hate all of valenwood besides reapers march (zone and storywhise)

i think my favourite area is rivenspire, you could make some choises that changed the outcome of some characters (atleast more than in other zones ) and i also loved the dire look of the area it was a nice variety compared to other zones.

Funny enaugh i disliked most of the dlc and chapter zones, besides wrothgar and the goldcoast

Summerset becuase its all samey, and much of N elsweyr has absolutely awful terrain.
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

Personally I love all the landscapes. They're all spectacular in their own way.

Architecture is a different matter though. I think they really screwed up Telvanni towers and Summerset. And I've always said that building the dead animal parts into Bosmer architecture was a mistake, because that's very polarising in the player housing department.

And something which we can see for ourselves isn't in a lot of the concept art. It's something someone must have thrown in later.
