Eso pvp tank troll build: "The immovable"

I enjoy these kinds of builds and have my own "Troll Tank" build. But, I would never post anything like it on the forums or on any youtube channel.

ZOS reacts fervently to PVPers who complain about certain sets and skills. Expect your build to be nerfed into the ground in the future by ZOS.

Yes i am completely aware that the build is going to get nerfed, but i dont play the build that much anymore and i dont really care about what happens to it.

Troll tanks are effective. They could be ignored without consequence, but scores of pugs take the bait. It’s infuriating to see 20 or more players in your faction lose a fight because they got tunnel vision for the immovable tank and lost sight of the objective. Like moths to a flame people pile on the tanky opponent and don’t care (or even realize) that the flags are flipping. Or that a Zerg is coming from behind. Or that their gate keeps are under attack.

It’s a play style that has a place in Cyrodiil, just like bombers, gankers, ball groups, and siege monkeys.

You can't teach amoeba's to think :disappointed: baited alot of groups like that into sieges or other traps... :)
some just don't like when others having fun :D

This kind of build is totally irrelevant and useless for the Cyrodiil war results.
Experienced groups, and it is those who move the map, go for a target not for a player.
Something that doesn't move and is not dangerous is simply ignored.

I play with a dedicated group and if we meet such a build, it doesn't slow us even for a second.
Players who attack it are mostly if not exclusively lone wolves who are not necessary to take a keep anyway.

So a good advice for everybody - if you meet a character that 3 or 4 players can't kill, just forget it and focus on the main target.

In case you dont know, zerglings dont think like that and they will do anything in their power to kill a single person even if they cant. Ive tanked 8 people for 10 minutes before some people started giving up, if there were more people coming which there were not, they would try to kill me as well. Even though their goal is to capture a keep.

Sometimes i stay inside one of the towers after the enemy has captured the keep and people really want me to get out of their keep.

All they do is run around since they love being followed, when they are in a group they get enemies to focus on them and not their DPS or healers. They can be killed but it requires a combo of attacks and ults from a few people. My group kills PVP tanks all the time, after we kill the healers and DPS.

Ive survived a ball group trying to ult dump me with full harmony, colossus ult and nova. Im mostly playing solo so i dont rely on anyone healing me other than myself

    Lol awsome.

I've used a almost identical build (but with Cyro crest+battalion) and regular tripots.

Never thought of using Hist sap and hindrance potions tho, will have to try when the servers are back up.

Edit: Want to try it on a necro tank aswell. You won't bave battleroar but you have the health-absorbing goliath transformation ^^

I used use hist sap and hindrance potions in the past, because... You can make hindrance, restore health, lingering health potion ;) Before lingering nerf it was over 2k free HPS with 100% uptime ;)
Now it's still potent but not as much ;)

Tank builds like this have one practical usage. BG capture games (relic, chaos ball, etc.). Maybe this one in particular is not the best example as it would be good to move a bit, but you know what I mean - in BGS the only game type that requires kills to win is death match, rest is optimal for tank/healer teams.

Hist sap with hindrance pots and lingering health used to be good but a new change to the set that is not mentioned is that immovable procs hist sap, making it possible to make use of the new armor pots. Also if i want to be able to move, which might be better in some cases i can change out battalion defender with ironblood and immovable skill with hardened armor. It all depends on the situation really. Some builds work better than other in some cases but not in all scenarios.

Oh, didn't know this about immovable and hist sap, stopped to use this set long time ago but good to know. Yeah there are tradeoffs even here, being literally unkillable or being a bit less tanky but actually also being able to grab some objectives ;) Even though I don't like to meet players built this way, it's a very very fun to use build :)

I saw the video, the attacks you got were quite weak with lots of light attacks and some random ults. Do you actual kill anything?

Sorry to disappoint you, but its almost impossible to make a build that can survive 10 people while still beeing able to kill them. I used to have a build that could kill people by changing cp up a bit giving sloghtly more damage and running maelstrom 2h with crit charge and dizzy swing while spell wall was up. But i was only able to kill the squishy bowblades.

If you want to be able to kill people you can try to make a light armor tank on magdk, blobs has one he made with some help from me that can survive 5-8 guys while still dealing enough damage to kill them.

Only thing that disappoints me is not getting a straw when ordering from drive thru. Keep having fun getting people to attack and chase you around, there's no right or wrong way to play in Cryo. Your build has no impact on what I do. Keeps and resources will still get captured even if there's more Real PVP Tanks. Would be a good setup for pve people that likes to do daily quests and doesn't like to PVP, since most players will ignore them. I don't see why there would ever be a nerf since that build can't kill anything. It's nothing more than a moving target dummy.

Console player here, the block button for me is same as dodge roll, so when I try jump it just dodge rolls

how do you sustain on that build? basically u have two hot builds with the ult proc one. Is Meditate enough just by itself to survive the time between your ult casts to regain resources? and i suppose this is viable only for CP pvp? could you tank 3 decent people in BGs with this?

There are plenty of unkillable builds. When I have made a thread about this issue, it atracted all sort of experts playing Cyrodill once a year and claiming that there are no unkillable tanks in this game. I gave up, I have made an unkillable godplar by myself. Many here claim, that it's useless. Yes, its useless - in Team Deatmatch. However Cyrodiil & other modes are flag based if you haven't noticed...

Ill try to list where my sustain comes from, 7 piece heavy armor constitution passive, full sturdy with infused block cost reduction reduces block cost to 220 stam, earthen heart, battle roar, argonian drinking pots, after spell wall i either do heavy attacks or meditate depending on my resources.

Also, yes you will be able to tank 3 decent people in bg with this build, but its a bit harder to sustain since i have 100 points in reduce block cost in cp

I like your build because you found some clever ways to become so resistant. However, how about your dps, can you kill anything? I noticed you have sword and shield on both bars... so there is no ranged attack.

Also, is it possible to have this build on a templar? I would like to know how you would adapt it for a templar.

    Thanks!

I dont play templar that much but i will assume the sustain will be a bit worse due to the lack of the battle roar passive, so i would use stonekeeper instead of bloodspawn then either rune focus or the other morph. If you have enough sustain you can try to use immovable but i havent tested enough to know. You can use same setup for the most part, only change monster helmet.

All you have to do is go out there and test it for yourself.
