ESO dead on a friday night PC NA

I'm trying to form a group for vet pledges on PC NA and have 2 dps and a tank... been queued for half an hour now and no pop... asked around in craglorn... but its pretty desolate... I haven't played much since patch but has this latest update killed the game?

Edit: 2 dps and tank, not 2 healers (duh lol)

I heard there were some issues with the queuing system again. The game isn't dead, the queue system just isn't working how it should, even after it got completely rebuilt from ground up.

I logged early because it was boring. PvP was a laggy mess, and I didn't feel like doing pledges. Trial groups were also full of elitist guys with squeaky voices, and dealing with sepsis after corona that wasn't beer, I didn't feel like hearing their whining.

I also have a three yawn rule, ya know. I yawned three times and it was better that I slept.

I've been keeping an eye on the steam charts since this patch dropped. The average has been dropping by about 50 - 100 people each day.

No it is not dying, but they are killing it.
The fix Monday really needs to work!

New Path of exile league and I think some new releases.

ESO is is very bad state currently and it is borderline torture to do anything other than casual questing.

That's because the other server shards are full. Also, 2 healers? was that a typo?

I didn't log on Friday night. I usually do but with all the bugs introduced with Harrowstorm it's hard to get motivated to hop in ESO.

Too many bugs: Skills don't activate, targeting is off (desync), still getting the stamina bug where it drops to nothing and doesn't regen....and more.

Eceryone in north america is too busy buying up all the cleaning supplies and patsa and sauce from the store to have time to play eso seems like.

You're supposed to be panicking not playing games while society shuts down.

New PoE league has started and the latest big patch broke the game for some, it's understandable. All will return with Greymoor though, they always do.

I haven’t been in Cyrodiil more than a couple of times since the last patch. They removed my non-cp alliance locked campaign and something’s going on in the other campaign, that seems like it’s been going on for a while (drama..), but just sucks the fun right out of it from a newcomers perspective. But whatever is going on with the stability in that zone makes sure what ever fun is left from the inside drama are destroyed into oblivion.

I started a new character, it’s been years since I played the beginning and have roamed Auridon the last couple of nights. It’s not empty, but there are no way near as many others as there used to be.

The re-visit also makes it painfully clear how under nurtured the zones are. It’s everything from small glitches, like the npc having a fast run before getting to the point, to storylines that doesn’t make sense if one has a soul. But also in pve the stability is weird. It seems as if my horse is slower? It seems as if I’m sometimes experiencing I’m running slower? Skills that has to be repeatedly pressed before firing

I’m guessing it’s monday or a new world for quite a lot

Sorry you weren't able to group last night. PS4 / NA seemed OK for PvE. Enough folks were online to do stuff. In guild chat one of the officers was asking for folks to do 3 trials last night, and we were able to get 12 folks together, and completed all 3 trials. After that, I did a PUG undaunted pledge (Icereach) on my tank. I got through the queue in seconds, and we completed the pledge.

I was gonna try a Maelstrom run but then I remembered how clunky skill delays are right now, so... waiting for a patch that hopefully fixes that.

This game is only good for questing and fishing right now. It will be good to play again if they actually fix the combat and positioning issues they introduced with their latest patch, but this weekend PoE is the better game.

ESO is just frustrating to play.So much wasted potential.

I strangely sat and stared at the screen for the longest time. Pledges (grinding for transmutes for the millionth time)? Bleh. PVP? Bleh. Questing (just another grind as I can't bring myself the read the dialog anymore)? Bleh. NPC's saying the same damn thing for the billionth time. Bleh. Trials (got all the gear I need)? Bleh. Guild chat dead. 50K Crowns sit lifeless in my account. 22 million gold in the bank. All this grinding has just ground down my enthusiasm. Chatted with a couple friends in Discord having connection issues. Shut down the game and watched a movie. The attrition of fun from all the changes and performance issues ("combat yuckiness" as Gina calls it) is getting to me. Maybe I'll adjust. Maybe I won't. Maybe I just don't care anymore.

Use to love this game could play for hours but now it’s buggy and skills don’t cancel like in the past. Hard to get excited when they’ve ran outta new original ideas and just try to resell old ideas(Skyrim, dragons, vampires)

I see like 3 people at the belkarth wayshrine on a friday night though...

That is because of the deadly contagion that has been spreading around. WHO advises players to disperse, avoid public spaces and not cluster around wayshrines as usual, preferably not use them at all unless necessary (and use hand sanitizer afterwards). Also, 12 man trials have been banned altogether and 4 man dungeons are now for duo only.

Yeah, the "social distancing" is really crimping my AOE healing.

Only regular ESO players know how bad it is. But the public does not. I see game magazines and shows praising it still. Because they only play some to film footage for their videos.

The propaganda for this game is still strong and outsiders still think it is great and shiny. Although it is but a weathered branch compared to the golden days. How ESO ever won game of the year after 2015, I shall never understand.

Mount speed got a nerf for some odd reason.

I have been playing MMOs since 2003 and won’t jump ship to New World unless/until it’s proven itself for at least six months. So many MMOs have come out promising to be the next big thing, only to release as total trash and fall flat on their face.

Not that that makes the game irredeemable. Let’s be honest - even ESO did this, it launched a buggy mess with 1/3rd of the quests not working, players isolated and bored in vet levels 1-14, Craglorn was awful, and it was just “ehh, better than Warlords of Draenor I guess” until it saved itself with One Tamriel. And FFXIV’s fall and rise is so dramatic and legendary, it doesn’t even need an explanation.

As someone who’s retired from vet trials/mmo raiding in general and doesn’t pvp, I’m happy puttering around questing, housing, making gold just to make it, and 100%ing the world on alts. But the PvE endgame is shallow and the PvP endgame is a trainwreck. Neither camp should stand for it’s current state.

I put on my Tin Foil hat and cloak of conspiracy.

What you like isn't what everyone else likes, there is zero reason for Propaganda, there are a couple better known Jurno's in my guild, they actually get off on nitpicking games, and they show up for every trial, also my guild plays nightly..so I guess that makes us regular players. On my shard of the NA PC Daggerfall and Senchal was busy last night.

Of course I have seen Daggerfall when you could barely walk around due to the number of people...and certain people on the forum was still crying the game was dead.

This. It's mind blowing to me. I was just reading an article in Game Informer (I think) talking up Harrowstorm and just read an online article how ESO is better then Skyrim. Not a single mention of how abysmal ESO performance is or how the game gets worse with each patch. They definitely do a great job promoting the game.

because trash talking a game and therefor the company is a fast way to get blacklisted.Meaning no more review copies or access to those companies for interviews ect. It's not some conspiracy like a previous poster had said.this is known in the industry.

I mean, I can only speak for me and my guild, but we are Def playing less, and my patience are wearing thin. Pve seems to be working okish, but even overland is plagued by hitches, freezes, delays, etc. I am now actively avoiding the game during prime time.

So it wasn’t my horses that just got fat and lazy! I even visited my local stable master to see if I needed some training, I didn’t. It’s weird?!

ESO is my first mmo. It will probably be my last. I’m not going to support amazon, there are many reasons to why. I came to eso because I fell in love with oblivion and later Skyrim. At first it was more about experiencing the whole continent, but the cooperation between strangers are still a reason for my gaming joy.

But many aren’t in love with the lore, the world, the history, recognition of familiar places and names. I’m thinking it’s the majority of eso players, that’s simply are playing a game and will move on, if something new tempts.

And by the silence from management, I wouldn’t disregard the launch of something similar to my product, as nothing. Silence in a crisis is a strategic choice, lack of information in a crisis likewise, re-choicing of wording from consumers ditto

I'm still working on levelling to 810 champion points and all I see is lots of low level players around. Normal dungeons are easy to get a pop. Probably lot of people not on their mains atm.
