Then you got the homes with all the water and you can't fish in any of it. It's not like it would give anyone an advantage. There are a number of fishing spots that almost insta respawn when you fish in the area.

Maybe for ANY houses with water, the CROWN STORE could introduce a furnishing item such as "Fishing Pool" and on pickup you could then decide what type it would be from the 4 possible options.

This gets over any quibbles and also, hmm, can add more $ to the Crown Store coffer (coffer = ZOS Team Party and Fun Fund) lol

Hey all, just wanted to pop back in this thread and confirm that the raining inside issue should be fixed when Update 26 launches on console. Thank you again for your patience here.

For me in this house rain threw the roof is one of the smallest problems.
Same as for many another houses...huge space filled with preset objects, with no real space to build your own one.
Or to place things like guildmasters try - crafting stations, target dummies etc.
You don't want to come such house again, oncely seen it's always the same.

The only houses to get some freedom are couldharbour one, and khajiit crown only one.
And they are too big for the max number of objects limited with in general.
With bad relief which make most of this surface useless.
    So too small for freedom.
Couldharbour one also has worst environment possible. Insanely depressive.
Both houses has issues with forcing u to deal with their base environments in general.
Almost every guildhall is one of these 2...
It's a basement to analyze why this happened.

Please think about similar house with absolutly flat floor (stone, sand, grass, not matter).
It can be flat peak of an mountain - we talked with brother about that, it's our most desired case.
Or like flat training square with stone/wood walls around with no objects... At such place can be very nice to create own training place, or playground, comlicated sculpt or architect objects, paintings for someone in the sky/space etc...
    At sunny location sure.
    Please

I must admit, this whole thread has made me chuckle.

There are some real issues in this game - for example, the issues in Cyrodiil, or with skills not firing in many PVP and PVE situations. These are properly game-breaking problems.

While I don't want to belittle the frustration of collision not working as intended (at least where weather is concerned), it really pales into insignificance especially when we've already been promised a fixed.

Maybe it's just me, but there are comments here that seem incredibly vitriolic for no credible reason. Also, I thought Foremaster Falls was pretty neat :)

You just have to get creative. The majority of my housing builds completely change the base area and most people don't even know where they are.

ZOS is more likely to listen to feedback if it's done constructively without the rude remarks and negativity. If the first paragraph is just a big whinefest full of negativity, insults and name calling they are gonna stop reading just like many of us do.

    yep, more creativity facepalm
    to mask original area...
by filling it with many objects...
    just to hide it...
when we have very limited max number of furnishing slots in house
    ...
ty grandmaster, these your "constructive" words definitely "help" us to get new house.
and helped me - I didn't knew that I can do that lying hard and very angry
we need no nothing, just to mask original areas with "creativity".

    dam, NO! NO! NO! NO!
I asked for a new place with full freedom, with any broken columns around, or useless hills, or no badly designed preset buildings with loadings screens at doors, but with huge and smart flat area and many furnishing slots.
TO have a place where this clear combinatorics can be at least closer to what creativity means in reality.

I like it. However that's more because it's got that small "holt" vibe than anything else. I wouldn't ever spend crowns on it. And even if it was purchasable with gold, I wouldn't buy it as I don't have any use for orc anything. Or nord. So whatever crown only thing they come up with for this next chapter, I won't be buying it either.

If - that's a very BIG if btw - housing was as good in this game as it was in RIFT, I'd be immersed up to my eyebrows. It's not. And as long as it's "real money based" I won't be going there.

Reminds me of the house gene hackmans character was building in the good the bad and the ugly...

Echoing previous comments: rain inside houses or under "cover" has been happening for years on console and it's so frustrating. Rains inside Earthtear Cavern. Rains under any coverings you build in Moon Sugar Meadow. Rains inside the enclosed part of the Moongrave Fane area of the Hall of the Lunar Champion. Totally defeats the purpose of having indoor areas.

earthtear cavern is the one i really wanted for a guild hall to put all the crafting stations (eventually) Bought hundings palatial instad, with gold... its big enough for the stations and its at a city (like the cold harbor one) with resources near by and you can travel to a wayshrine without being buggered..

I totally get that, especially as I am into housing too. However, let's be honest: a housing issue like rain coming through the roof is purely cosmetic. The issues with (for example) skills not firing, which impacts PVP and PVE, is game-breaking. It's a whole other level of problem and (should be) a far higher priority.

And as I said, a fix was already promised for the leaky roof ;)

Really theres no need for this commentary. This discussion is about an issue that impacts housing. Not the game in general. If you want to discuss abilities not firing go start a thread about that in particular. But do not derail this one because you think this topic "pales in significance". Its an opinion that really doesnt need sharing or discussed.

I mean, it's not even big enough to use as a guild hall and place all the crafting stations in... High cost, low utility, plus all the other aforemention flaws with rain and such...

If ZOS wont invest in making their own game work correctly, then why should we invest in it at all?

I agree you can share your opinion but some other people believe that the roof not having collision is important to them and people who are passionate about housing feel this is more important for them which is just as valid. Me personally I would like collision issues fixed and agree that skills not firing is important. I don't pvp much and have no trouble when I do and my skills tend to work as intended but if it's an issue for some players then I agree it needs looking at. I think all the things are equally valid in many ways.
