Just recently finished Morrowind and I’m slightly burnt out after doing all zone quests. This morning I started Elsweyr and I’m only 3 quests in and had to stop. A combination of being burnt out and my dread of desert themes and khajit are telling me to take a break then continue.

Any zones that you dislike doing quests in?

Shadowfen. Those puddles which are just deep enough to dismount you every ten steps always get you.

The psijic questline was pretty bad. But as as far as like atmosphere and mood, rivenspire was a little dark for my tastes. But anything to do with shadowfen and murkmire does not interest me at all. I dreaded doing anything that dealt with the argonians. But i have completed the entire map/maps of eso the only thing i havent done is blackrose prison so i have to go back to murkmire eventually😒

even more than shadowfen i HATE malabal tor because you need to follow the road and need to ride around things for a looooooooooong while to get to somewhere and cant just cross - getting to surveys takes forever

    Murkmire and shadowfen.

Murmire has bad performance and both are terrible swamps.

Elsweyr's verticality disgusts me. I'd not mind so much it there were more paths leading up and down

Cyrodiil - doing solo quests while trying to avoid gankers. But I've finished it now.

Shadowfen, Murkmire, Vvardenfell. I don't mind wandering around Vvardenfell, but I don't even want to approach the other two. I got all I wanted of Shadowfen forever doing fishing on 4 characters.

Coldharbour. I've never brought myself to finish the main quest on a second character.

And I dislike Murkmire so much I've never completed a quest there except in delves.

I dislike Murkmire too - but it does show what a superb job Zos made of getting it to feel so awful....

I'm the only one that hates Stonefalls? Everything about that zone just irritates me to the point I feel agitated and rushed anytime I'm there. The visuals, the layout, that one road that's just littered with scribs and whatever those other things are called, the way the zone is split in half at Ebonheart, the davon's watch wayshrine with it's lag and constant voice chat going on where there's always someone playing some crappy music, the layout of davon's watch especially running down those stupid stairs to turn in crafting writs.

Literally everytime I have to go there I give myself a silent "ugh" and start thinking if there's any other way to get done what I'm trying to get done, any way at all.

Cyrodiil and/or Imperial City. Interesting zones but the problem is PvP. Did them once, never going back.

So much this. I've hated Shadowfen since the first time I ran the zone, and I've run it on probably 8 or more alts. It has a weird layout, the zone quests keep sending you back and forth, there is altogether too much water... I don't know why, I've never been able to like the black marsh zones as much as any other zone.

I was just thinking, if you are burned out on the sand and hot sun, head to Grahtwood. Easy on the eyes and a nice contrast. And, I really don't like Morrowind. So tired of going around the volcano.

Shadowfen is annoying with the puddles that dismount you, definitely. But I don't hate it.

Not a fan of Alik'r at all. I hate sand. Its course and grainy and gets everywhere.

But theres a specific quest location in Grahtwood i believe. Gil-var-del. Theres some Dunmer dude there that you help destroy some rituals before destroying a dark anchor. Something about that quest just make me not wanna do it. But my ocd forces me to power through it.

Actually, I don't mind Stonefalls or Deshaan. The rest of Black Marsh can get lost in the sea.

Eh, the only TES swamp I like is Hjaalmarch.... *sigh* I LOVE Morthal. In fact, I wrote about three books detailing the adventures of various characters centered on Morthal.

All Bosmer zones are a pain. Take the path too fast and you'll have a nasty fall. Also the quest leading to the Lightless Oubliette.

Coldharbor is so depressing place and Cryodiil I had to quit that because it bored me to tears. With honorable mention to Elsweyr because main questline was so forgettable mess I wonder if they got rid of any creative talent?

Shadowfen. The puddles that are just enough to dismount you, snakes and crocodiles hidden under trees and near the roads, and the fact that because of how the main quest in the zone runs, you will miss most of the zone unless you actively try to explore it.

    bd5tMdC.png

Worst outline ever but you get the point. Nothing north of Loriasel and west of Stormhold and Hatching Pools is really relevant, you need to go out there yourself, which is even more annoying when you consider that White Rose Prison and Zuuk have quests that assist the main quest towards the end.. Compared to something like Stonefalls and Deshaan where as your travelling across the map for the main quest, there are side quests easily seen along the path.

At least I think Stonefalls is quite unique setting with lava rivers, big mushrooms and the ash mountain looming in the background. One of my favorite zones in the ebonheart pact. Other zones were so much worse in my opinion. Even the Skyrim ones. I hope they seriously upgrade the Skyrim experience with Greymoor.

Shadowfen and Malabal Tor, because of hoarvors, crocodiles and swamps. A little bit Reaper's March- mountains there could be really annoying to go around, especially if you need to get from Rawlkha to northern or eastern parts, that are not close to wayshrines.

Agreed. Was always the most disliked zone for me. Next is murkmire. Never cared for argonian lands that much

Shadowfen and murkmire for sure. I love the lore of the regions but damn those swamps are annoying
