Should Zos do something about ballgroups in cyrodiil ?

A certain faction in no cp has 3 ballzergs, making the game an absolute unplayable garbage when facing them, but it seems they're not affected by it or at least not as much as their opponents
Should this be adressed ?
I know there's a boatload of things that should be adressed right now, but still wth ?

    I play magsorcs, trust me ballzergs are no danger to me, they only move in a straight line spamming aoe and are very easily avoidable, so no
    The issue is the fact that they're messing up the game

    Just don't engage ballgroups. Go take other keep while the ballgroup is concentrating on one spot.

    My Magsorc has Azureblight jewelry and weapons, slap a couple of Soul traps on some of the fools + Inevitable Detonation spammed into their group with a random Haunting Curse usually clears up that pesky ballgroup itch.

    The problem is that ZOS has paid about as much to the interns who have written the engine for ESO. Coincidentally, that's also how much they pay for renting their servers too.

    They created massive Alliance zergs by giving 6k free Ap for taking even empty keeps. If that wasn’t a thing they wouldnt faction stack as bad (obviously there will still be massive groups)

    They did do something, they released vicious death, but then everyone complained it was too strong and now it takes better play to use it. Back in the day a nightblade with vicious death and clever alchemist made you stop grouping up.

    The fact is, PvP is LARGE SCALE fights. No one wants a Cyrodiil where it's small groups against other small groups.

    Agree. ZOS should reduce the number of AP given by the total number of players in a group - let's say after 4 players in a group start reducing AP earned by X percentage.

    You could have many groups of 4 fighting in the same area, but group coordination would be limited to only 3 other players per group.

    No just make a bomber and gain loads of free ap..... Do it a few times and they log out in frustration lol.

    Sometimes ya just gotta be a bit creative.

    On my Stamden I run Velidreth's, plus Syvarra's and Azureblight (Really love this one).
    Mind you, I very, rarely live after doing this, but it has been worth it for me cause it does take plenty out at the same time.

    Scalding Rune in middle of group, trigger Sub. Assault, roll + Stampede into group fire off a few Acid Sprays - Sub explodes before I kill over, and I just watch the glorious - GLORIOUS foul explosions erupt from the group as they scatter about. trying to get away from each other.

    We have had what OP is calling ball groups since day one. A well-organized group with a skilled leader can effectively counter groups. So Zos already gave us the abilities needed to counter such groups. OP's group and their leader needs to figure out how to use them.

    What is ZOS gonna do? Nerf teamwork? Eliminate all voice comms?

    A. ZOS can't give out some sort of magic skill or set that will let players kill the ball groups. They've tried. Everything they do promptly gets used to even better effect by the organized ball groups against everyone else.

    B. ZOS can't do anything to fix players stacking up in large battles when that's exactly what Cyrodiil is designed to create: large battles over important keeps and objectives. And if those ball groups spread out and take less important objectives, then players complain that they are PvDooring or farming players. So even if you dropped the max group size to 8 to 12, you'd still see large battles and coordinated groups running together.

    Ball groups are annoying, sure, but I'd rather them fix the game than limit teamwork even more. The ugly truth is there really is nothing they can do until they bite the bullet and get better servers. 2010 tech is not cutting it anymore.

    This is from someone that has no love for ballgroups, but understands why people do it.

    You can't stop people running around in a tight group but I have sometimes wondered why there's no player collision detection in eso, at least in pvp, so you can't run through other players. It might cause some griefing as players block off doorways and stuff but I think it would make the game a lot better, and ball groups couldn't weave through each other it would feel like actually running in a group where you're aware of the people around you, and can't swerve right through them.

    The game has so many other issues right now, this is the last thing they should be worried about. There is no way they could implement something like this without massively breaking something else. It is their way.

    Theres a lot they could do. But a lot of people are talking about faction stacking here I'd say, and then there is ball groups. Both impact performance. Both could be immediately impacted on any patch if the devs wanted to deter them. They dont really want to though.
