Yes, such a pity! I wanted to have this as a chill-out lounge, and then it started to rain... dang. All the pillows got wet. I had to put in a plank 'roof' to stop the rain from flooding the site. Looks horrible. Please fix this!

I hotfixed the rain in the greenhouse by adding Ayleid grates to the roof panes. 22 Ayleid grates. Now I'm out of pretty much everything including crowns, *but* this actually prevents the rain from coming in, and it looks a lot better than the wooden boards I used before.

Meh... Put me down in the too little too late camp.

We waited for years for the greenouse, and now that it's here, we discover it's not waterproof, has wonky collision, is too big for most homes, and costs a s-ton of gold.

Cheesh... Bought one and threw it in the bank to gather some dust. I just don't care enough anymore to actually try to figure out what to do with it, 'cause last weeks disappointment finally blew a gasket in me and I rage-quit then and there. Did not log on for a week and only sporadically looked at the forums. Instead, I spent that week playing games less frustrating than ESO.

During that week I seem to have missed the window for getting the Sotha-Sil statuette too. I had intended to re-sub before that one went away, since I was thinking of getting all three for a nice Tribunal furnishing set up.

My plan had been to re-sub at the start of this month for a month, or maybe even three. Since I kinda want some of the things from those Ice themed Clown Crates and do not have enough gems for all of them nor enough crowns to buy a bundle.

So the plan was to get the missing steles, re-sub, finish the stele housing project, buy some Clown crates with the sub crowns in hopes of getting the things I wanted, or at least enough gems to get the most crucial items, and then go buy some Elsweyr purple furnishing plans from that assistant of Rolis.(About 40 or so should do, and give me most plans I need) and then spend the next month or so fiddling with my home builds. And probably spending some more crowns on crowns only furnishings.

But yeah, now I just don't care anymore. I missed the Sotha Sil statue, have zero interest in Auri-el/Xarxes, am missing the steles I needed, not feeling any excitement about the greenhouse, and thus have zero interest to work on my houses, and thus zero incentive to play let alone re-sub.

I'm now in a log once a week to re-stock my guildstore mode. Maybe I will become more active with the new chapter or maybe not. But the thing is, with PVP an unplayable mess, and housing only catering at whales and otherwise ignored by the devs, I see little point in active participation in the game. Maybe after a year or so, enough new stuff has accumulated for housing for me to bother with ESO again.

And none of those timed exclusivity or daily log on bribes is gonna change that. The thing with those is, that the more you miss, the easier it is to miss even more. The more you rely on FOMO to retain your players, the easier it is for already lapsed players to keep ignoring your product.

I will not be bothering with this month's Skyrim Pony. I have no need for it and no place to display it either. And the same goes for the endless stream of statuettes you dish out to the subs. I mean, I suppose, if you released some utterly spectacular statuette I might sub for a month, but I already have more of them than I have room to display them really. And with no changes to furnishing slots, I really don't need more either.

So while it is "nice" that you finally bothered to release a furnishing item people have been waiting for almost 2 years now, it really is not enough to undo the damage your negligence of the housing community has already wrought.

I'm sure there are people who are still happy with the new stuff, this is just my personal feedback and you're free to take it as you wish.

It seems that some people are never pleased with anything. Yeah, I know it's annoying to see rain through the greenhouse, but I guess it was designed with the Psijic Villa in mind, where it does not rain. Instead you should be happy with this awesome iteration of the luxury vendor. Next week we'll most likely get the windmill and more awesome trees. I am also slightly disappointed because it rains inside, and because we still don't have planters, but let's hope these things will be fixed soon!

At least the trees are great!

The parts that are in direct sunlight (at the top of one of the trees) look the right colour.

Sorry you feel that way - I do sometimes, too.

Not suggesting you buy it, obviously, but if you already have Lucky Cat Landing (which I know is Crown Store, but a less expensive one) and haven't decorated it yet, it works well as a conservatory extension, off the back porch:

They're not just catering to "whales", to be fair.

This is 4K on PS4. I made a whole thread about it in the Bug Forums because I recently got a new TV and was horrified at how bad things look.

If I put the tree in direct “sunlight” at the Villa slightly more on the top is sort of purple but over half of it is that ultraviolet blue. They look awful.

You say that tree doesn’t look so bad. Why do you guys minimize the problems we console players have??? Every time I think about it my blood pressure goes through the roof!

I read a post on the bug forums about some changes to PC players who use gamepad (whatever that is - is it just a controller???). Something about the icons being larger, I really couldn’t see what the big deal was, yet you guys called it “unplayable”. It looked better than what we have.

Someone on PC place both a blue wisteria and a purple wisteria tree in the same location in the Villa on PC and post pictures here. Let’s see the difference.

I completely understand your frustration. There's no way I'd play this game on anything but a PC. ZOS absolutely did both PC players and console players a terrible disservice when they decided to go cross platform. There's no way you're ever going to get the same performance PC does but because now they have to try to make the game the "same" across platforms it also hurts the PC experience. Imagine the outcry if they COULD increase the furnishing caps for PC...but not for console. I'm not saying I think they can but the sad truth is the PC game will forevermore suffer because of the cross platform implementation. They should have never done this.

I didn't say it didn't look bad and I wasn't trying to minimise your problems, I was just observing that it seemed to be the bits in the shade that were very blue.

So happy this item and theme finally made it to Lux (people I told about it after finding the items in the files were starting to doubt me I think! )

As some have mentioned above, the collision is a bit strange. I noticed the door has collision in most of the upper half of what appears to be an open door - it would be great if we could get that adjusted to match the doorway

Edit: I thought these could make nice "sunrooms" if sunk so just the peak was visible (when collision is fixed) or just a more intimate greenhouse/alchemy garden)

I didn't realize that 4k looked so bad on PS4. I have 4K and am running the game in HDR on my XB One, and the trees look fine. I'm wondering, then, if it's more of an issue with how the PS4 handles 4k and HDR than how ZOS implemented it? Or, maybe it would look just as bad on an XB One or S, since I know that some of the graphical adjustments they made on consoles recently - to improve performance - did not apply to the XB One X.

But, totally agreed about the rain in houses. I haven't noticed it raining in actual interiors, but did notice it yesterday when it was pouring down buckets in the Cyrodillic Jungle House. I noticed that it was raining through the porch. I haven't been at the Exorcised Cottage when it's been raining, but I'm guessing it rains in there? At the moment, I can't think of any other properties I own where it would rain through structures - ah...the gazebo at Lucky Cat. I haven't been there while it's raining, so I'll have to be on the lookout for that.

This is what worries me about Forgemaster Falls. Players confirmed that it didn't rain inside the longhouse on PTS, but that doesn't mean that it won't rain in there on consoles.

As far as the scaling issue goes, it can be a problem on PC, since many are probably playing on smaller screens than what we tend to play on with console. I don't mind that it no longer scales, since I play on PC in the living room on the same big screen, but if you're playing on a much smaller screen, the menu interface doesn't need to be that big. And yes, gamepad mode is playing the PC version with a console controller, and the interface is pretty much exactly the same. Well, before, you could scale it - now you can't.

@Tigerseye Thanks for the idea at Lucky Cat! I bought a couple extra greenhouses just for any future projects (the third one I bought is up at the Villa), and I love the idea of extending the porch area. I may give that a go.

@Scion_of_Yggdrasil He's a merchant that shows up in the Hollow City in Coldharbour during the weekend.
He sells things on a specific yearly schedule so the things will return but it will be in a year. You can of course also obtain the items from other players, usually through traders but expect a higher cost there.

Like I said elsewhere, I’m fine with the fact that I won’t have the same frame rate or resolution as PCs, but as a console player I cannot enjoy any of the luxury items this week because they are broken in one way or another. ZOS fixed the rain problem on PC but refuse to acknowledge it still exists on console or say why they won’t fix it. The 4K was implemented once before on console and they changed it, most people seem to have given up at this point or just say it was worse before. Better but still broken is unacceptable. We do not deserve a lesser level of service than PC.

If the PC version of the greenhouse had rain inside it, this forum post would be 20 pages long by now. So much for “we are one housing community”.

It rains inside the PC version of the greenhouse as well. I understand your frustrations, having come from PS4 myself. But if they do change the greenhouse to keep out the rain, it will be a change to the item itself which will make it over to console as well. The best we can do as a community is work together to be heard. We may sometimes be affected by different things, but I think we all support calls for improvements from each other. I hope they work on fixing rain in all houses and roof/awning furnishings for every platform.

They look lovely.

I'm in two minds about the stands being attached, though.

They look great, but it means you can't place the cakes directly on a table; only on a kitchen cabinet, or on something else with enclosed sides.
