There are other costumes that have a similar "fattening" effect. Not only costumes but armor styles also tend to fatten your character. I don't love it either as I try to choose slimming looks usually. Because of their struggle managing capes, they essentially "pinned it" to the character which also adds to this fattening effect on this costume.7 -

✭✭✭✭✭It's only the style with the cloak, pouch belt and chest armour that makes you look fat in it. If you look at clothes behind those things you see it doesn't change your body at all or very minimal. It's like clothes in real life, some of them makes you look fat while others are more flattering.
There are worse costumes and outfit styles that actually do change the body of your character

Wheresthetea11✭✭✭✭Zos probably won’t ever rework the costume. So like many others, I just use the outfit station to recreate the look with various styles/dyes following a model I found on reddit.
