Why are we paying for this game?

Our whole guild constantly crashes as we enter Cyrodiil. These "improvements" were supposed to make PVP gameplay easier. It's peak hours on the weekend and Cyrodiil isn't even population-locked because everyone keeps crashing.

When WoW was unplayable because of system problems, they used to hand out free game time till it was fixed.

I play to gamble on Crown Crates till I collect Each and Every Radiant Apex Mount.

And also best MMORPG on the Market, in my opinion.

Probably because PVP is an afterthought for most of us not the main reason we decided to buy the game in the first place nor the reason we continue to play.

this about sums it up - regions outside of Cyro are packed with people on weekends. i avoid questing on weekends, because most of the enemies are permadead and it is less fun to do the quest then.

Cyrodiil costs nothing to play after buying the game. This is not like WoW.

I’m not. My sub got cancelled over 6 months ago, haven’t used a single penny on their crown store, but that’s more of a principle (not using real money on shiny thing on internet) and I’m not buying the expansion. Didn’t buy Elsweyr either.

But it also means that without my craft bag, the inventory part of the game is growing, which is a snooze fest. I haven’t been logged in at all this weekend. All in all, they are loosing a former loyal customer

(Edit; because it’s early morning and I don’t have my contacts in or even finished my coffee)

it is not just the crafting bag - double bank space, placing more items in our homes and so on - ESO+ is pretty convenient and makes life more enjoyable in ESO - otherwise the permanent juggling with inventory is a pain, especially if one doesn't have the banker (I don't have him on NA, but just on EU). I like as well some new costumes or other stuff from the crown store once in a while, like i bought the lucky cat landing home with crowns from my last subscription. Nothing of that is necessary, but it makes the game more enjoyable for me.

I avoid pvp, overall little to no issues on my end thankfully, well other then my warden bear running off.

After several crashes in Cyro i went IC, haven't crashed once yet in maybe 2-3 hrs of play there.

Could you please remind me of the last time PvP was in a good spot?
Cyrodiil has been a crash and lag simulator for years and it took hours to get into a BG because the grouping tool was broken for ages too.

Couldn't tell you, I'm a fairly part time PVP'er who actually ignored Cyrodiil for years. But yeah point taken, the cyro I have done since taking part has definitely not been without it's problems.

i would LOVE to pay. Im willing to pay. But as I said since Morrowind, I wont put an euro on this game until Cyro is playable again.

Why do I keep playing/paying? Because I spent a lot of hours in game this weekend having fun with friends.

Did I/they crash more occasionally than normal? Yes (me 3 or 4 times, two of them repeatedly during a trial)

Were we still able to do trials and dungeons? Yes (although trial performance of the game went downhill rapidly over time)

Did my guild cancel PvP due to Cyrodiil being a total crashfest? Yes

Not a big fan of the ‘improved performance’, not seeing any actual improvement (esp on PC EU), but really like the new dungeons. If they keep developing content this good, I’ll keep playing. Although if they keep producing performance like this I’ll keep moaning about it.

Performance devs need to up their game.

I've never bought a single crown. Was subbed for the entirety of the time I've played, but cancelled in December. Will not sub again (and will probably not be playing much anyway) if stability and performance are not addressed in an actually meaningful way. Promises are cheap and overused by ZOS.

I simply can't log in at the moment, let alone get into pvp. soon as I move my character one space I crash.

not sure i agree with this...yes pvp community is much smaller but at the same time pvp content takes less time to develop and has a much longer shelf life than pve content...so for every dollar spent you might not absolute get more return out of it but certainly per dollar spent.

Or why else do you think there are sooo many pvp centered mmos and so few pve...

As a pvper that has no choice but to pve because of performance issues the least they could do is free eso plus for our time and troubles.....
I surely am not going to reward them with renewing my sub when the content I play doesn't function at an acceptable level and I dont need more useless pets
