The only PvP centred MMOs which come to mind were massive flops because not many MMO players want to pvp.

They were such massive flops that I couldn't even remember their names. Took a bit of googling but there is eg. Darkfall.

Sold as a brutal, uncompromising pvp mmo with full player loot.

In truth what all the above created was a game where players ran around totally naked nearly all of the time to avoid losing their gear constantly. And to train skills, players would line their characters up - naked of course - in front of walls to allow other players to hit them with weapon attacks and spells.

Weirdest MMO experience I've ever had.

Nearly all MMOs are pve-centered cos that's what MMO players want.

Look at ESO. Back in the early days when emperorship was achieved by killing the current emperor, players from different factions co-operated with each other to pass the title back and forth. So everyone could get the original sweet permanent passive former emperor skills.

MMO players are much more interested in playing and co-operating with other players than killing them.

There is a big MMOBA market but that's a different market and matter.

This is the part that bugs me most. It’s how things are getting worse and worse since Murkmire. How can things be getting worse while they’re trying to fix it?

Also 16000 Crown non-giftable houses. The politest and least toxic forum community is also the one that's miked most mercilessly.

I'm here until a competitor comes along with a game that does everything right which ESO does wrong. The disgusting gamble-crate scene has influenced the company decisions too much, and its only leading to worse and worse quality in favor of a slot machine. Even class reps are getting tired of all the good cosmetic rewards and skins getting thrown into gamble crates rather than the new dungeons.
