Would you buy SP/coop ESO?

The poll is anonymous. The game would be altered of course to be solo friendly, and "server side" modding capability would be included. Extra benefit would be ZERO lagg. At least not from latency.

In case of COOP it would be host/client system.

    Eeh, what? This is confusing.

If you mean Morrowind/oblivion/skyrim style but with ESO story and mechanics, on current state. No. Big no.

Do you mean would I play with other people on online game, sure?

Or do you mean *** splitscreen coop? No. Consoles and party games are for that.

On my opinion there already is way too much soloable content. Eso is almost singleplayer game already.

If you mean the next game in the elder scrolls series then yes, i am looking forward to ES6. However due to how this is worded, no I would not play single player or co op elder scrolls online.

If ZOS added a story-mode to group content, eliminated BGs , and added PVE-only Cyrodiil and Imperial City, that's all you'd need to make the game completely single player. Unless you really dislike seeing other players running around or something.

As for co-op, again, you can do pretty much everything except for trials, BGs, and PVP content with only your friends. Unless you really dislike seeing other players running around or something.

I would prefer a single player elder scrolls. no doubt about it. this mmorpg crap is for the birds. I cut my teeth on solo game playing in my youth and it's what i prefer and why i choose to play. All this social crap can go and i wont miss it one bit.
After careful consideration (and oh! so much deliberation) we have concluded that you circumstance sounds too much like a l2p issue for it to be just a mere coincidence.

Singleplayer ESO opens the door to modding, and that means nude body replacers.

I don't get what you're after. I already play ESO solo. And I still play Skyrim and Oblivion, and I do NOT want others bothering me in those games. Ditto TES VI if it releases before I die.... Big "if" there (though at least my doctor today told me it looks like I'm good for another three decades....)

No I already play 95% of the story content solo there is no real need to group for overland stuff nor would I want one, a few times I have had to help people with the occasional world boss or some of the harder seeming quest bosses (like the quest dragons in the cat land content that some struggled a bit with)

Would I like a solo mode for group dungeons so I can enjoy the story at my own pace yes.

Aside from Group dungeons/trials/arena's/World bosses/Overland Dragons, you can pretty much play the whole game solo while ignoring everyone else if you felt like it.

A solo version of ESO as it is now would be pointless to me, one of the reasons the solo versions of the games sell so well is because people like to mod the hell out of them after they have done most of the content, it keeps the game alive for years for players, Skyrim for example is still going strong.

I do hope Elder scrolls 6 does not go to much into online features and allows players to play offline like past games.

I would never play eso as a single player game because in that department it's just poor.

ESO's story is just a glorified fetch quest. It would never be successful as a singleplayer game. Frankly, it would have been boring without its people aspect.

Too many things are designed to require a massive number of people to overcome the low drop rates, so some online presence would really still be required unless they wanted to just blanket multiply drops by a fat factor. Which would likely screw up too many things. But going through everything to individually tweak would probably take too long.

Other than that, yes, solo capability would be great.

    Server-side modding?
    What company would allow that?

(I mean, modding on the scale of such as what is available in Skyrim.
BUT... I kinda guess that add-ons in ESO are considered a type of server-side modding?)

I play ESO solo already unless I'm in a RP session with people.

What I'd want would be sort of a "private" server/instance though, so I don't have to look at those horrid flashy mounts/skins/pets and inappropriate names all the time.

No but it would be nice for ESO to have dedicated servers for particular subsets of players rather than exclusively having their everyone-into-the-clown-car megaserver method (PvE, PvP, RP, etc)

I do play single-player RPGs, including the TES series and I'm planning to get TES 6 when it comes out.

I also play ESO solo a lot of the time, because my free time is pretty erratic so I can't commit to playing with a regular group. Since the majority of the game is playable solo and the bits which aren't usually don't connect directly to the story I don't see any reason to buy it again just to be able to play those parts solo as well.

After starting to play mmorpgs with wow in 2006, I'm addicted to these games. Tried quite some single player games since then, but I abandoned all of them shortly after started playing, because they lack the social aspects.

The only games I played for longer were Borderlands and Far Cry 5, but only in coop with a buddy. Even Witcher 3 couldn't make me stay for long.

The remaining content would be soloable, and full modding support. If you modded Skyrim, then i'm quite sure, that you have some ideas about the possibilities.

Sure addons are nice, but can you alter the damage of a certain skill, or alter the way attributes increased, or make all damage taken/given less/more? No. Server side alteration are not possible. If it were SP however.

COOP would host/client style. As i wrote in OP. If you played older FPS games like COD2, then you should have the idea.

No addons don't change the server. That would be cheating. I used quotes for a reason. In case of SP you are the server. Host/client system coop also has a host who is not some sort of dedicated megasever maintained by ZOS. It could be you as well.

That means modding would be possible on Skyrim scale. Stuff, that adding new skills, skill lines, alter existing ones. Right now these are DEV. ONLY.

The latter would be the point mostly. Skyrim scale modding with ESO as base with a few alteration to make group content soloable.

Not exactly what i was meant, but yes that's the idea. Mod it until crashes. Make your own rules, skills, equipment, even dungeons. Is there a feature you hate? Mod it away! You want more something? Mod it into it! You think something is unbalanced? Balance yourself!

      Nope.
I play this game because it is a MMO.
For single player purposes and goodies from Nexus mods, I'll play TES 6 when it is released.
I don't get this thread really.
Although it would be good for TES 6 to support coop maybe so you can quest with friend or two, like Borderlands is, it it is not something that i expect from TES series.
