The new non customizeble gamepad ui feels opressive

Im playing with a 32" 2k monitor and the ui is so intrusive compared to how it was before.. I really hope they bring back the rescaling option, its a pain to play like this.

As a gamepad user I can't wait to see how my addons look. I dont think it should effect much because I have turned off much of the default HUD.

they probably changed the Crown Store UI and it was messing up with the gamepad UI so thats probably why the change. So screw everyone that uses a gamepad so that they could have a clean Crown store UI.

I saw that the crown store UI changed that is why i think this happened. If this is the case - it would be the most disgusting thing they have done to their customers.

Yeah it looks dreadful for a monitor. I'm hoping an addon releases soon that will fix this, if ZOS won't.

I'm gonna try some ui addons but it may be too soon after the update and I doubt any is up to date, I'll share if I find something

it's just a matter of time before removing these customization options is the norm,
It's so that zenimax can decide how large the crown store ads should become when they decide to throw em in our vision.
Soon all you will see is "Upgrade to elsewheyr now!" "Buy your crown store crates!" and "Housing for only 15000 crowns CHEAP!!!"NOW BUY YES!!"

There is an outfit system in the game to change the looks of your character to whatever you want

It... looks pretty normal to me. Then again, interface elements are always scaled up for console. Thank gods for that, because if they weren't things wouldn't be very readable.

I posted this in another thread on this as well that seems to be gone now, so I'll try again here.

I absolutely agree. This change really bothers me and takes away from my playing experience. I can no longer fit all the addons, for example, on my screen that I need to e.g. keep track of the same buffs as before, which is no problem on KB+M mode, and which didn't use to be a problem on gamepad either until now. Also it's much harder to scroll around in menus in game when I can see significantly fewer options on the screen than before because everything is so much bigger.

The current quest indicator in the top right of the screen is now much bigger than the area my player character covers on the screen, for example. Playing on a 4K 27" monitor, I don't need text to be almost half an inch tall. It feels very much "in my face" and the sheer size of the UI makes it uncomfortable for me to play when I'm used to a much smaller scale.

I really wish this would be reverted, or at least a way implemented that allows us to scale the gamepad UI at all. I personally had none of the UI issues described in the patch notes, and haven't had them since I started using it when gamepad mode was in beta.

I'm surprised so many gamepadui users were able to use scaling at all. Scaling either never worked for me, or would shove elements off screen/make to small to use when I switched to gamepad. Never been able to use scaling so I got used to living without it. It's been fine, I like the way the gamepad UI looks.

I'm not sure what you're complaining about, I play on PC with a controller and mine has always looked like that.

Do you understand the size of the ui depends on the inches and resolution of the screen? It doesnt look the same for everyone. If you enjoy that size good for you. There is people that don't enjoy having the ui take half the screen and navigate to giant menus that make you scroll forever, that is what I am complaining, I'm sure you can understand if you try. Would you not complain if suddently the ui was double the size in your screen with no option to scale it?

oh thats funny, just like the guy who made fun of my thread about microtransactions, so I guess we are not that far part in disliking zos but god forbid you guys cant live with something that has looked the same for the past alsmost 5 years on console.

Horizontal scroll lists, like those found in crafting menus, will now continue to scroll when holding a directional input.

PC players using console UI get a feature console players have wanted for 4.5 years.

Not only is it nonsensical — it seems to fly directly in the face of the CVAA, which requires more accessibility, not less, for all audio and visual communications, even in video games.

Well, mainly because when using a console you're looking at a TV whilst on a couch. Whereas on PC you're (most of us I assume) looking at your monitor at your desk

So console players are x feet away from the screen, whereas us PC players are inches away from the screen. We used to have an option to scale down the UI to fit accordingly, but that's been taken away with this latest patch, so now everything is HUGE and a complete eyesore.

I have a post going in Bug Report, but I agree. I love playing with a controller but love the addons and better resolution PC brings. We are now forced to chose Kindergarten xbox UI or play with a keyboard/mouse. I switched back and forth a lot and now addons move around when you do this because the scaling is all different. TRASH. What is super frustrating is this used to work and work fine. Its the whole reason I moved from xbox to PC 1.5 years ago. I have played for 4 years, bought every chapter, been eso plus on 2 servers, bought i dont know how many crowns, and have never though of quitting until this. This is BS.
