125 GB sounds about right, actually surpised it doesnt need 150GB, 50 for download, 50 for install and 50 for the tmp files while doing it's thing...
Once upon a time, code was efficent, now it just rapid development!

One upon a time installation couldn't run like that because you'd need a whole other floppy disk for the temp files.
(Although 1, or more, for installation and another for running the program was quite common. Even when games moved to CDs I remember Disc 1 only ever being used to install and Disc 2-4 being the ones you used to run it.)

Yes, good practice if you plan to overwrite files like saving a game or an word document is to save as an temp file, then delete the old save and rename and move the temp file to replace it. In this way an crash during save will not ruin the file.50 for download

I finished everything... moved the folder to the SSD but now the client wants to redownload the game probably because it cant find the files in the old dirve. What to do?

Make sure to move the launcher's folder as well and update your shortcuts to it.
The game doesn't require any registry entries.
