I assume the normal boxes are the daily quest boxes which drop double now.

Unless you like gathering the few water bottle nodes bots left behind (for double! alchemy solvent drops) this event is even more boring than Cyrodiil.
At least in Cyrodiil you got guaranteed double-AP reward for doing quests.
Here you are expected to grind for an apparently ghostly chance of an extra strongbox which has a vague chance of a fragment. (It's double jeopardy!)

Yeah I can see how they don't want people to grind their way to two new Collectibles on the very first day, but the gameplay experience is terrible. Straight grind.

Ran Delve twice. Killed everything twice including boss... Now going on 4 hours with no drops, and have done every daily in zone in a share group.

Resource nodes (even things like chests) can also drop them. But as with killing mobs, I wouldn't count on a lot of drops.

I'm so glad that I don't care about any of the nonsensical grinds ZOS keeps heaping on this game anymore. Makes for a lot more stress free gaming experience. Besides, I have zero interest in either of the collectibles in this event, and have stopped caring about BS indriks too. I already have more than I can find a use for.

So no need to slave away at the salt mines of Tamrilando in hopes for extra boxes. I got one from the first troll I came across and got a collectible fragment and some crap that I vendored ASAP.

The thing that I'm miffed about though, is that the collectible fragments aren't tradeable. I have zero use for them, and don't care whether I complete them or not. If I fail to get all the fragments, then the ones I have, will sit unused in my collection tab, and shoukd I get one, then that collectible itself will sit gathering dust as well,

I wish I could trade them to people who actually want them, but no... I guess that would just not be enough grind to appease ZOS.

Got 1 extra strongbox (beside the first one with the tickets) from a resource node. It had one piece of the memento (not tradable).

It's weird that the fragments are auto-consumed. Since it's highly unlikely to get a full set, I'd rather sell my pieces.
And, honestly, I'm ok with no getting more than one strongbox a day. I can get ocd about getting boxes and spending alot of time. With there being events allll the time these days, a chill event works for me.

All right! Last comment from me. Started farming Murkmir at 12noon my time. it is now 5:15 and Im done waisting my time in this zone. Iv gotten 1 strong Box and that was from my first kill.
Usually when these events roll around. Me and a few others farm the tar out of it to get what we need, and help others in the guild with the collections and ***. Cause a lot of them cant spend the time online farming like we do. Well, not this event.
To anyone wanting to BUY the Murkmir expansion, dont.. Not for the event anyways. And to @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_BillE @ZOS_KaiSchober @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_AntonioP , I will be passing that along to my guilds. I would rather run around with the shame of equipping a snot covered weapon to show people Im not afraid to spend money on Hot Garbage, then telling people to waist there days here.

The drop rate is beyond abysmal. I killed mobs for something between 5-6 hours today and got 1 on top of the guaranteed one we get. This is unacceptable given the fact there are two rune boxes each requiring 7 pieces. SO, even if you are lucky enough to get a different one in your first box EVERY day of the event, you still cannot complete both as the event is only 13 days long. Seems like they are trying to force us to buy event tickets through the crown store in order to get both. I mean sure, people like me who have all the possible berry fragments and a base form indrik in waiting can just use tickets without buying more. But this is a plea for the guys who don't have the ability to get every possible ticket every event. Murkmire zone is full of disappointed people wondering what is the best way to farm the strongboxes, so any insight from other players would be great. However some kind of response from an intermediate like Gina or Jess would be even better. What makes it worse is that you are not even guaranteed a rune fragment in every box. So if people are unwilling or unable to buy the crown store tickets, could take YEARS of this event to complete. I just don't think only super nerds with no life like myself should be the only ones capable of finishing these off this go around of the event. Agree, disagree, dog me for the lack of a social life, idc, I just wanna see my fellow players content.

Ok this has just been more then id like to admit but i just ran for 2hrs killing everything , looting everything possible even (fishing bait flying adds) opening chests after chests and have yet to get an 2nd box thing i did notice is that lil adds had drops where as bigger adds gave nothing for kills seemed odd as your think higher health adds would have more chance at dropping something over lil one shot adds but not in this case at all and i dont re call it being this way when i did this location on my main seems ZO$ really did change things to force players into crown store to get all the awards for this event

Spent the day grinding, got 1 strongbox (and not from 1st kill) with nothing but garbage in it. Killed all kinds of mobs bnss, large, small, harvested nodes and creatures, chests from simple to master, got nothing at all.

There's a HUGE difference between "small chance" (as so many fanbois keep going to) and NO chance, sorry, I love the game, love the company, but this has been an abysmal disappointment. At best we get 39 tickets... at best... good luck with the download, at absolute worst, that's finding 0 fragments it costs 35 tickets for just 1 of the items, pet or memento, plus 10 more for the berry, that's 45.

I'm all for the company making money, that's what companies are suppose to do, pay the bills, pay the employees, make a profit, and while I like the basic idea of tickets being sold for people to catch up, things like this just make it look like we're being forced to buy them if we want the items (and don't give me some lame no one's putting a gun to my head BS argument). By all means, make your paper, but please don't ruin an event, these are suppose to be for the players, something to encourage them to play more, not just a grab for the wallet.

I killed 552 mobs (counting those fly swarm mobs as a single mob), 3 WB's and opened 13 chest.

I got one box on Mob 37.

1 Strongbox is guaranteed per day. The rest are rng. The event lasts for 13 days and we have game re-download in the middle so for most it will be 1 day less - so 12 days.

After spending a few hours trying my luck at RNGesus I think for the rest of the week Im simply going to spend the five minutes gathering the guaranteed strongbox and the event tickets and bounce.

I saw absolutely nothing of the double resources they claimed would be available either now that Im thinking about it.

Runestones seem to be healthy but nothing else really did seem to be doubled now that you bring it up

Totally agree. I just go and do the daily quests and hopefully get my daily tickets. After that I am done and leave. Can't stand the zone. It's annoying and it's way too small for this amount of people. I disconnected like four times just trying to do the wb.

Yeah, drop rates for the event are underwhelming to say the least, although, its rng so tomorrow may be much better, who can say

Havent been to Murkmire before, so i was doing cyrodilic collections quests, and any others i came across

.. took a good 30 mins of killing anything i saw to get tickets, and i then continued questing and killing whatever i encountered along the way for about 3 hours

.. no more event rewards.

If it wasn't for the fact I am a huge Argonian and Murkmire fan I would not be doing this, but as it is. Sadly they managed to get me as I want the swamp jelly but don't care about the other thing because its probably going to be too expensive.

There is no way to get all the new stuff this isn't an event its a secret sale and I can't believe people are being duped into defending Zenimax.
