Console lag since update.

The update earlier this week broke combat for me and many others judging by posts in the forums and zone chat in game. It takes anywhere from 2-5 seconds for an ability to fire after hitting the button. I only pvp so I don't know if it affects players outside of cyrodiil. Ps4 NA

Cyrodiil Xbox Experience:
Other than what's being said in zone chat, this is what I and my friends have experienced.

Ability lag:
The bigger the fight, the worst things are. It feels like game lag and is worse than before.


Xbox One: It's better in the sense that there isn't a disconnect on every towerflip, but anytime there's a fight with 20+ players or sieges it's a DC for sure. Ability lag is horrible though.

Xbox One X: No DC's which is good. A hard reset though doesn't fix any of the ability lag.

Casttime abilities: Anything with a cast time simply doesn't work or is doubled+ in cast time, including ultimates. Can't rolldodge, can't break free. If you do manage one of those, your abilities are greyed out for 3+ seconds afterward.
Tested abilities: Inevitable detonation, death stroke and its morphs, soul tether.

Instant cast abilities: Streak(just doesn't always work), boundless storm(just doesn't always work), negate(just doesn't always work), lotus fan/merciless resolve/race against time/shadowy disguise/deep fissure - The list probably goes on.

Not sure where to categorize this but on both consoles, sometimes when summoning a mount there is a long delay and freeze in animation. And often times damage is delayed.

(Had to pause in writing this because Chal was being taken by blue, but I had 3 guys hitting me and not one single ability would work, after 6 attempts Arctic Blast -finally- went off, but nothing more after that. Managed to just rtfa rip. Like I said, when it's bad, it's BAD, literally no abilities work and damage is ultra delayed. It's freaking furstating and not fun at all.)

Sometimes I think abilities don’t fire because the lag causes your cursor to move off the enemy before it goes off, so therefore you are no longer targeting that player.

As for disconnects and such, even on low pop campaign today all of us on Laatvulon at Fort Ash siege found ourselves at the wayshrine after a long loading screen in the middle of the siege. When I traveled back to Ash, all of the AD players were gone too.

I had one experience like that today on low pop campaign, I was totally unable to use POTL or javelin or other skills on my stamplar. She did a weird twitchy thing when I hit buttons that looked like she was having a seizure. Battle music would start but no hits or damage.

That is different than the targeting/lag issues, but I believe they both exist.
