Nature's Grasp skill is completly broken and useless

Skill description:
Launch a vine to swing yourself to an ally, healing you and them for 2343 Health over 10 seconds. Gain 3 Ultimate when each of these effects complete if you are in combat. This ability scales with your highest offensive stats.


This skill went from the strongest 2vx Skill in the game to an almost completly useless skill.
Its extremly unreliable! Every object, every pet, every elevation breaks the line of sight and interupts the gapcloser. Not only that, the high cost of 4050 magicka get completly wasted when attempting to gapclose. The duration is only 10 s, so you need to reapply that and will fail again, waste more then one global cooldown and 4050 magicka per attempt. The heal of it was really strong but with the standardization of skills its just not worth it anymore. Its just another example of overnerfing.

In summary
  • cost is way to high
  • healing got overnerfed (-33%)
  • gapcloser is not functioning in almost any szenario
  • if it fails you loose all the magicka cost and 1-2 global cooldowns

    I've been saying back then when Morrowind was released. This ability is so stupid it hurts.

    Just add it to the list of how the warden is unfinished;

    The bear AI, and being charged the ulti cost when the bear isnt even there. ( and the ridiculously long summon time)
    The tree ulti having that stupidly long cast time that you can never get the thing down when you need it most.
    Cutting dive being to slow for a spam able and to quick for timed burst.
    Vines always going to someone random when you need it most.
    Magica morph of lotus blossom having no visual effect.
    Griping shards dealing damage off max health ? why?
    Arctic blast CC - a nonsense skill that CC's your opponent .. but at the wrong time before you're ready to land your combo, so then when you are ready to land what have hes got CC immunity from the CC you gave out 3 seconds to early.
    And as you added. the natures embrace charging you and slinging you across the map just to rubber band back to where you started.

    Totally aggre with what you said. It was my favorite skill to use in pvp because it was like a streak for warden. I run away from people to teammates or come closer to them to heal them as I used to play healer pre-dot meta. Came back to healong against few days ago and started to use it. Slow travel time is slow and healing not as good as it used to be. Healong component for HOT morph is weaker than radiant and burst heal is waeker than breath of life or any other burst heal. Easily tether break is was killed the skill for me. Not being able to use it on different elevations of terrian or break because of target LoS and slow tethering just not worth using the skill any more.

    they need to make the bursting vines projectile speed on base. and it's stupid that it only burst heals the ally. why doesn't it also heal the caster?

    I've been thinking it should be turned into a gap creator and work the same as streak. You pick a spot on the ground and a vine pulls you to it. And instead of damaging anyone in between you and the destination you give them a hot.

    i don't know if that's actually a good idea. we've discussed something like it in the past. but i mean, we have one of the most reliable sources of major expedition in the game that is always on our frontbar.

    It is true, If there is one skill mechanic that is even clunkier than tethering, is the pull mechanic and unfortunately, Wardens have 2 skills with that mechanic both with no real morph option to twik the use of the skill from different play styles.

    Same as NB burst heal.
    But I agree, it's stupid.

    I use Bursting vine in PvE but that only for Ice Prison, that all..

    This skill used to be so Enjoyable in PVP, but now is nothing more than frustrating buggy mess, which will fail to pull me 80% of the times because SURPRISE SURPRISE PVP IS DYNAMIC AND PEOPLE MOVE AROUND.

    Tree ult, Cutting Dive and Arctic Blast are good IMO but otherwise I agree with your list. Especially the Magicka morph on bear ult is stupid. Automatically forced stop-all-previous-actions casting lock to summon a pet that barely ever dies except when it is a bug.

    Does the Cutting Dive bleed count for the purposes of Dro'Zakar's Claws?

    If it applies a bleed DoT then by logic it should. If not, then that sounds like a bug.

    i don't think so. dive and its morphs have some issues with it being really slow, and its proc related stuff being too awkward and contradictory to our class playtyle, to work correctly, and arctic blast makes us way too tanky while at the same time being a purely defensive stun, making it useless in a lot more scenarios than an offensive stun would be. trees is close, but it needs that placement issue fixed asap.

    This is one of those where when you observe arc of the combat design team at work you see them inexplicably shooting themselves in foot over and over and over and ...

    So it started out as a unique Warden Healing skill where during some of the less broken release cycles could actually be used tactically. Best HOT in the game.

    Then, correctly ZOS tried to address the absurd stam ball group overlapping healing with Vigor that has/is been a major problem in PVP. Instead of standing their ground with the initial Vigor fix they backed off AND then on the side quietly with no justification whatsoever decided to give Stam access to the best HOT heal in the game.

    Which course raised the level of unkillable ball grouping in PVP to entirely new levels. So they tried to fix a major PVP problem AND of course made much much worse.

    Why under God's green earth would the combat design group wake up one morning and think, "I know let's give the best, not just a decent one, but absolute best HOT heal in the game to stam, cause gosh darn stam should be healers too." Just inexplicable ...

    And of course, they just keep digging deeper. So then woke up one morning and thought, "I know lets nerf the best HOT heal in the game so it is ineffective."

    So lets summarize the entire combat design team arc of thought here.
    1. Stam healing needs to be (rightly) toned down.
    2. Lets give the BEST HOT heal in the game to Stam.
    3. Oh gosh, darn, somehow unkillable ball group healing is worse then ever.
    4. Lets heavy hammer nerf it.

    Look there is simply no justification to giving stam and top notch healing skills. None ... don't have a clue what they could be thinking here ... at all. Worse the entire unfortunate chain of events resulted in the a) problem being worse then before the "fix" b) Warden Healers have one of their class healing skills yanked right out from underneath them.

    The just keep blindly digging the holes deeper and deeper and deeper.

    This skill used to be fun & efficient on my magden, now it feels unreliable and needs to spam for it to work even once in a while, most often not trigger at all on lag or when ANY objects move, the target or anything between you too even for a millisecond. :(
