@Raisin it seemed odd tho to assume a reasonably experienced player like me (CP460) would need to be coached on food without them knowing anything about my build (I'm on Xbox NA, so we can't see other people's health etc).
They weren't rude, just very insistent. They must've tried trading with me over 20 times lol, sometimes when I was fighting adds. I thought they were going to kick me when I refused, but they just played along. I'm guessing they were just trolling me big time and am glad I didn't fall for it
Well, being the good and nice capped players they were, clearly they simply wanted to help OP with gaining their insight of the game. And what better way, and safer, than offering some Ghastly Eye bowl; afterall, to gain insight you'll need eyes on the inside.

Go into options and then into each section there a whole list of onscreen displays including health bars by percentage or numbers, so yes they could see your health, turning on colours for aoe damage if a good one too (bright pink best colour for enemy aoe)
They might have seen that you are above 22k health and that you really don’t need that much health in that dungeon and if the tank and healer are capable

Wait, you can't see other player's health on XBOX?! That's just part of base UI. How weird.

Honestly I'd say this is one of the most interesting dungeon interactions you're gonna have, and worth treasuring. I do really hope there were no ill intentions and that they were just having a jolly old time. Do recommend next time you take some of the GEB I mean.... it's free food.
Yes, its a bit weird, standard is either max magic and max health or health, magic and magic regen.
Exception is if you have lots of health, an tank build with lots of health is better off with magic + magic regen then not tanking.
Using stamina + stamina regen on my tanks.
How much health do you have with food? If you have much over 20K I understand them. 17-19K health is standard for DD or healers

Well, apparently you can.
I made this post because I thought there was a small but genuine chance you needed to take GEB for that particular dungeon for some reason. Obviously not.
So I'm a pet Sorc CP 460 and I had a weird experience earlier today when I PUGed for Vet Blessed Crucible.
The other 3 players were all CP 810 and were good. Except, right from the beginning, they INSISTED I take eat some Ghastly Eye bowl to get through the dungeon. It wasn't just one, it was all 3 of them, taking turns and trying to trade with me, offering to give me some GEB. I've done the run before but it was my first time on vet and I thought it went OK. Throughout the run, they took turns trying to trade with me and using text chat to make me take it (which I didn't want to, cause I was using my own food buff).
Then right before the last boss fight, one of them said the tank wouldn't pull the boss unless I took it, so I jumped down and started engaging the boss (as a DPS) and they all followed. Funny thing is, even after the final fight was over, they STILL insisted I take some LMAO! I said GG and left the group, having gotten the helmet I wanted.
So was this a troll attempt or is there some logic behind consuming GEB for group benefit in vBC? They were definitely a regular team, since they all took turns trying to make me take it. Never happened before in the dozens of PuGs I've done dungeon runs in.

Ah OK, learn something new everyday. Didn't realize I could use that to see other players' stats.
I mean, I am wrecking my game trying to figure out a purpose for the food... and I just cannot. xD Maybe they thought you would do better damage with better sustain, thus better parse? I have no clue.
Shame you don't remember anything about the Skin they mentioned... And I wonder if they were also all using GEB!
sounds like elitists to me. insisting you take something. I'd be glad they didnt just up and kick you. to many groups'll do that if you dont conform to their way of doing things
They probably thought it was a bit high, however without max health food it would be below 16K who is low.Yes, its a bit weird, standard is either max magic and max health or health, magic and magic regen.

I think my max health after the food buff is just under 21k.

I held my own and died once when we went into the open area before the troll boss and they simultaneously pulled all of the adds at once (one of them died as well). But after that it was smooth sailing and my sustain wasn't a problem either.
The skin was Platinum skin I think (or could be diamond, one of those 2). Like I said above, they even said I had to eat it so one of them could get that skin? That is why I started this thread, cause I thought there was some bonus I missed out on by not eating GEB.
I just love the mystery of all this. xD No clue what they meant with the skin. Normally I'd assume something wa slost in translation, but I'm not sure how common that is on NA. I guess maybe they really did think you were more of a noob than you really are, and were trying to confuse you. If it was an in-joke, I do really wish I understood it.

They would also not know how good your sustain is,
Yep, I'd get one shot or overwhelmed by bosses & adds easy so I try to keep a minimum of 20-21k health. No way I wasn't going to buff my health in a vet dungeon esp. with a random PuG where it's usually each player for themselves and the medic & tank don't do what they are supposed to do.
Pretty sure they have been trolled by some others.I mean, I am wrecking my game trying to figure out a purpose for the food... and I just cannot. xD Maybe they thought you would do better damage with better sustain, thus better parse? I have no clue.

This is the achievements for blessed crucible, no skin there.
Skin is an DLC dungeon thing.
Again I suspect they was trolled and hoped for some skin, as far as I know its no dungeon achievement require food, only some during the seasonal events.Pretty sure they have been trolled by some others.

Yep, I googled vBC and GEB, but couldn't find anything about that or the skin, which is why I thought I'd make my first thread here. There was certainly some trolling alright
