ESO started and was advertised as a PVP centric game. In the first 6 months performance was very good even you coud see hundreds of players on the same screen.

ZOS advertised the Justice System ( many of features no more on the ESO Roadmap) with OPEN PVP ( too bad it was cancelled)

Many of the ZOS ESO members Team left since 2014 ...so it is possibl many things was cancelled also because of this.

Probably spellcrafting is almost cancelled because of the same thing.

I didn’t know this, good piece of history.
Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
    Havoc Warhammer - Alair
LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
PRX and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten

Really? Is that why Bosners have a passive that is only used for pvp?

The reason for that is actually "hallucinogens".

As Ydrisselle said, this is not correct.

Rich Lambert recently confirmed in an interview that from the early on in the development of ESO they "made a strong-willed decision. We want players to calmly explore our world. Enjoy the story and not be distracted by bloodshed. But we are well aware that PvP is interesting to players. For this, Cyrodiil was created"

For clarification Rich started with the Studio in 2007 making him very much one of the top ESO team members since very early on and he is still with Zos and ESO.

Sorry to mess up such an amazing message with facts straight from an original team member since people try to blame imaginary changes on team members that have left Zos.

Edit: Link to the article where the quote came from. It is Russian so translation is required. Rich's comments are in text that is not made bold. Also, this article has been reviewed by Zos and edited to correct for issues in translation.

The linked article is from November 2014, not prior to launch. Not even close to something that would depict ESO being PvP centric in the early plans. Also, no one disputes that Zos had mentioned the justice system was planned at one point. We know it was scrapped because of concerns Zos had when the finally got to working on it.

Further, the trailer was one of many and does not in any way say ESO was PvP centric. The second video is from after launch. It is very irrelevant as no one is saying Zos never meant PvP to be part of the game at all. That would be silly.

In other words, you have not demonstrated that ESO was advertised as PvP centric. Though I will acknowledge we sometime focus on what interests us. Myself being interested in both PvE and PvP enjoyed seeing discussions on both sides as the game was getting ready for launch.
