We had an emergency-ish maintenance on Monday to fix EU guild traders. Now we have regularly scheduled maintenance today, but it doesn't say anything about a patch so you probably won't have to download anything.

Generally, patch downloads are ready a bit before the servers become available again, but that wouldn't happen till near the end of the maintenance. So yeah, there's definitely nothing to download right now, and I doubt later today also. I personally think that the next download will be the patch before Murkmire Event, but I could be wrong about that. Might be we get no patches to download till U25.

The maintenance today has definitely been announced since the beginning. Are you sure you're not confusing it with the fact that they usually start out the info with the line about no maintenance being on monday? The wednesday one has been in the yellow banner for me since it first appeared, I'm very sure.

I don't mind developers undergoing proper maintenance to ensure their customer will have a fully optimized experience.
However, executing a lengthy "emergency" maintenance right before the weekly maintenance seems like poor decision making and a waste of resources, but that's just my opinion.

If something is wrong they will do emergency maintenance how do some not understand this? the term "Emergency" kind of implies something to be addressed as soon as possible.

there was a time we had maint if not a patch like every week its kind of normal for this game just hope we dont have 3 days downtime like when Orsinium came out. But seriously they are trying to keep the game running I can't fathom why some people object to that.

Also I love people going on about fixing the game then balking at maintenance and patches

You don't get to have freaking Emergencies every week. Emergency inherently happens rarely. If that happens every week, it is not emergency: it should be firing the persons responsible for this chaos.

That is true, they could have left the guild traders broken on EU until today. I mean, the traders were still working, they just didn't swap owners properly.

U25 hasn't been announced yet. Well, the release date that is. I promise you when it happens you will know, they'll make sure of that. It'll probably be end of this month.

by the vibes that I am getting, the things got worse (?)...
Should we expect a world record of consecutive maintenances this time?
